  • Zegze lukin 40-something....but she almost in tears....mafia wamekutema

  • Wewe basha!! hata unajua maanake kiguoya ama unachora tuki shoga haya basi meli ya kigerumani imewasli nenda kauze t@k% Gasho

  • we ni mshamba kweli worse wewe ni mgunya

  • Did anyone realise tha Kibaki sold Migingo Island to Uganda to help him steal the elections?Thats why the Ugandan troops are there and Kenya which is more powerful is doing nothing about it!! If you didnt , now you know!

  • 99.9% of leaders in kenya are corrupt and they all need to go before they even demage the country more. kenya leaders are insensitive, immature, arrogant, lazy, greedy to say the leat. get rid of them all and give power to the people

  • Spare deceit and hyprocrisy..DUH

    ECK..Kivuitu was ODM poster child

Election violence..did she hire the militia in RV

Constitution reforms- Referendum which ODM rejected and you saw the results

She stood against ODM when they attempted the civil coup

Spearhead censure motion against RUTO for stealing maize

    ?v=YiNYYaG-_Oc

    v=TnvompfWVNA

She has set apart from her colleagues and the stage for 2012, you cant pin her on any corruption. if Bonny Kwahale joins it this will be the best team .

  • If anyone or this idiot herself believes she is important in Kenya is totally a joke. This woman is a big hypocrite that has not performed. Where is the constitution these tribal idiots promised? The best they could do was to cause mayhem in Kenya all in the name of Mubi's house. These are people that Kenya should never ever have in its history books. They should fade into oblivion just like they came from nowhere. She and Kibaki himself are the worst thing that ever happened to Kenya.

  • Karua would have been a teacher, she speaks like one making sure that we all understand. Something about this woman, I'm not sure but all men are afraid of her!!! Mungatana amefuata mama??

  • The woman was used. But anyway, you should never help a thief, now you know hee heee

  • why did it take you so long to understand that you were being just used ,but other thanks and no thanks for what you have done to kenyans

  • She took the bull by its horn, literally. She got tossed into air like a ball.Pray she does not land on a hard surface coz she b done. She has no protection no mo.

  • Hey they are deleting our comments!

  • He who silently reforms himself has done more towards reforming the public than a crowd of noisy, impotent patriots. —J. Lavater

  • we need to get over personalities and look at the substance. the lady is talking about what needs to be done in kenya. kenya right now has no leader. no kibaki , no raila nobody. we can even have a puppet as a leader now. we are starving for change. moi let us down, kibaki let us down raila let us down, who the heck is going to lead kenya. we need to think big. yes she may have been a sinner but sinners change. let us educate the people and help those who have a vision. end status quo

  • SHE IS NOT A SINNER SHE HAS ONLY BEEN SCORNED n as fake as they come

  • finally she has left. Let us see who will be next.

  • Thanx, martha.Did u say "reformist" Just like any other politician ur resignation is for 2012! but remember that u ar the most TAINTED politician as per last post election violence. For fought for rigged results and the pay back is here.KEEP DREAMING FOR 2012 CHIEF EXECUTIVE POSITION....dreams do come true maybe! But remember to fix ur car with brakes.gari yako haina brakes...hence NOBODY IS GONNA BOARD IT...KEEP DREAMING!

  • don;t delete my comment, i sense that you guys at ntv are deleting comments. what is the point of commenting if you have to sanction speech.

  • me as well i noted they deleted mine it doesnt make any sense to upload the news then!!!!

  • i applaud martha for pricinpals. we need leaders who put personal gains aside and fights for the rights of the people. it is sad that most of the others leaders are busy stocking away and corrupting the sysytem instead of championing for reforms so that kenya cannot go back to what happen earlier. people died and we cannot wish for things to change untill we change them. thank you martha , i hope kenyans of good faith will join in the effort of reforms and rebuilding our nation

  • For confidence to be achieved in the judiciary then High profile individuals protected by the current administration must be prosecuted & jailed. The judiciary should investigate: 1. Kenyatta family & business associates, 2. Moi family, cronies & associates, 3. Nicholas Biwott, 4. Mwai kibaki & Kiambu mafia, 5. George saitoti, 6. John Michuki, 7. Amos Wako, 8. Joshua Kulei, 9. Sally Kosgei, 10. Kamlesk Pattni, 11. Mutula Kilonzo, 12.Kiraitu Murungi, 13 Julius Sunkuli, 14. Hosea Kiplagat. + MORE

  • your list seems ODM free. Does it mean that ODM is blame free when it comes to the state this country is in?

  • Graft in government goes beyond PNU or ODM, These people are cut from the same cloth & their main priority is to protect each others interests while building a huge retirement fund while cheating the public in to thinking they care remember vision 2030, how many of them do u think will be alive? remember Biwott's wife is in ODM supposedley to protect her husbands interest. Ole Ntimama, Sally kosgei, william Ruto, Musalia mudavadi, Kalonzo musyoka all once part of the Moi fratenity

  • lets all hope and remember that in 2012. Kenyans need to wipe the slate clean. If they were in Moi's regime then they should not be in office.

  • what about Ruto and his maize deals,Franklin bet,Joshua kulei,,Ntimama,Mwaita former commisioner of lands,Hosea Kiplagat, etc

  • the kales, gosh i hate kales with al my heart

  • Are you a tribalist? The same tribalists like you are against Majimbo. You say you have GEMA and even after having GEMA, you are still against majimbo. What a contradiction!

  • I like other open minded Kenyans know a number of individuals who have engaged in corruption & still remain un-touched by the Kibaki administration. Why exactly do we have a government that has 1. proved it cannot feed its people, 2. Continues to protect & engage in business with corrupt individuals, 3. Use the police, security forces & mercanaries to stifle any dissent, 4. engage in un-lawful killing of its citizens in clear breach of the human rights treaty, 5.Refusal of taxation of mps

  • She will regret this decision.....ain't fun being out of kenyan government ask Raila and the others.....teargas, banned rallies, running in the streets like madfire and arrest.......

  • Confidence in the judiciary will only be achieved if high profile individuals clearly implicated in high profile corruption cases & crimes against kenyans are prosecuted & jailed but we know that no court in Kenya will jail a minister let alone an mp because of a clearly inept non-independent judiciary & what do u expect when the chief justice & judges & chief of police are bedfellows of a president intent on protecting thieves & killers, case in point moi & cronies

  • It is in the interest of Kenyans to learn & quick my friends, Kenyan politics has been hijacked by criminals intent on maintaining the status quo. The dirt starts right frm the beggining, land grabs and cronyism in the Kenyatta administration, the biggest land owners were then protected under Moi's administration, political assasinations, corruption & crimes against humanity (UN wasnt watching) Moi then allied himself with Kibaki in return moi & his cronies got AMNESTY, where was the revolution?

  • Mkenyamkamilifu, thx 4 your succint statments. Karua, realised belatedly the nature of the beast. The rich, corrupt, anti-reform status quo used her legal skills and tenacity to steal the elections and then dumped her for the like-minded UK the person who will most likely continue with corruption, graft and mendacity of the political class. Unfortunately, Karua will be killed before 2012 by the same cabal that killed JM in 1975, who was yet another challenger to someone also named Kenyatta.

  • GOOD RIDDANCE!!!. i dont know why certain people are using the word reformist when talking about this jezebel. how shallow a memory you have, dont you remember this is the same woman who circumvented democracy at KICC counting hall. She did everything she could to keep kibaki in power even when it was evident and clear that he had not won. she is ripping what she sowed and it serves her right, so many kenyans lost there lives and this is just the begining of payback.

  • If as a justice minister u cannot guarantee kenyans justice then it is right to resign, clearly a rare quality in kenyan politics is a cabinet minister resigning on principles and doing away with the salary & decadence that comes with being in the cabinet, if im not mistaken, this is the first cabinet minister in Kenyan history to resign on principle, that however doesnt mean she's any better as a politician neither does it affirm her credentials as presidential candidate.

  • One gone!

    Next,mama lucy.Anytime within two weeks!Yeah!!!!

  • Sweety you are realy soo wonderfull. We are for you.Leave those muther fuckin guys to loote our taxes.Like Saitoti the fuckin man.I wish you were a man! some men even dont act the way you do.Yuo are just great.we will fight for you at all cost dear.

  • Karua is the real Champion. Rich Men have raped Kenya for 45 years now. It is time for the underclass to join hands and fight these ugly, overfed, corrupt forces led by Kibaki. Nothing short of violence will free us from the stranglehold of a blood sucking class that is currently in control. These people want to perpetuate themselves by having their clone Uhuru take over power in 2012. They have used tribal divisions as a means of propelling themselves to power. Its time for a revolution.

  • Karua, principled leadership and Kenyan politics are simply incompatible, an anomaly if you will. The Central province power brokers, Moi, etc want continuity and that is amply represented by one of their own- read, Uhuru. You, Karua, were to threatening to the status-quo, too reformist and clean, save for your role in masterminding Kibaki back to State House in that stolen election. Remember that?

I hope that you do not become a victim of a carjacking, robbery or a car accident. Good luck!

  • WHO WILL SUCCED MARTHA? i guess Mutula Kililonzo has a better change

  • Martha your resignation was long overdue, your move wouldnt help you in one way or another, eventhough you are seen to be vocal and a so reformist you are not as popular nation. you should have stay and hang in there and fight within the governmnet... you are now a just a mere MP without any more say. Martha you need to remember you help this kifaki to manipulate the election and so history repeats itself kula huu sasa mama

  • Good riddance! It was coming anyway. All that work for nothing martha, umefunzwa na dunia, na never will you be president, ulishaharibu. Watch this space.

  • COOL, She has admitted failure. NO NEED FOR CENSURE MOTION.

  • Of course this a good example that should be followed by any other minister who is not able to discharge his or her duties effectively, either because of incompetence or "tied hands". But if i have dig deep in karua's case, it is only recently that she stepped out of sycophancy of P.N.U probably because she had been locked up from the inner circle. But that aside, it was not good to select judges behind her back. Kudos karua

  • Martha, now pull your party out of the Grand Coalition. Narc-Kenya should dis-associate itself from the PNU, otherwise your resignation would be viewed as entirely a personal ego trip and earned freedom to campaign for the top seat without being seen to be biting the hands that feed you. Know that you are from Central Province just like Kibaki and Uhuru and this makes your situation quite unique from Kibaki's resignation as VP on Moi and Raila's breakaway from Moi's KANU. All the best though!

  • good of you if you can do your job and people are doing on the back doors no need for to be incharge.let them control be on the safe side.for now i totally agree with you.but what you did during the election remains still we will never forget as kenyans.but for sure with alot of comments you made i think you stand 25% to president for now come 2012

  • The only minister with balls of steel!!!

  • i think there was a person who wasnt let in on the truth from the beginning and was used as a "tribal" bait.....now the person has realised that it wasnt all that rosy from the beginning......THAT WAS YOU MARTHA KARUA.....WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE!!! YOU ARE A TEA DRINKER!!!

  • "I WILL NOW BE ABLE TO TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH ANYTHING THAT IS UNTI-REFORM,ANYTHING THAT POINTS TOWARDS OPAQUENESS,CORRUPTION AND LACK OF TRASPARENCY." Kenya would love to have more leaders like u, it is unfortunate that u reveal the qualities of a true leader when out of office!!!

  • Bravo Madam Karua, you make us proud. Kibaki and his cronies have proven time and time again to be antireform. You make us feel that all is not lost, WE THE WANANCHI STAND BY YOU

  • we need more leaders like you. all the other ministers are busy like ants stocking away and corrupting the system. i applaud your stand and i know alot of kenyans are with you. kibaki and raila and collegeues are nothing but a nightmare. we need leaders who put the country first and personal gains a side. i lost hope in our leaders long time ago. kenyan people are people of good faith, they do not deserve the crooks we have now.

  • GOOD RIDDANCE..BYE MARTHA...LOL!!

  • go on gal..... I hope u form a coalition for all Kenyans with like minds for a corruption free, rule of law, justice for all, and freedom foe all . The truth is some of us kenyans will not change our tribal ways but I believe there is a big no. of us who have stand above our tribes and we want whats good for all Gods children.....are we children of a lesser God that we go through the nightmares of being Africans?????........

  • mama kelele has been mobbed so she decided to chicken out sorry 4 u,what next now ?????

  • Martha, now I believe your role was so genuine in all your doings. Its a pity that you had to resign. You are a true Kenya.

  • ''So sad, you can tell which tribe the people belong to by the response. And this is what we call educated Kenyans. Why don't people just admit they are a reflection of the politicians they loathe.'' Perfectly put, Kenyan Soul. With every violent / tribalist comment placed here, Kenya's soul grows ever darker again. Wake up and remember! Jan/Feb 08, NEVER AGAIN..for all our sakes!

  • kudos to karua i trust she means what she says we need leaders who resign with principle and for the good of our nation and pple..

  • wazi Karua, tuko na wewe...come 2012, i'm voting for you!

  • why move on where injustice is she helped to steal i dont shed a tear for her, Judas

  • All my respect martha, we need leaders like you.

  • Good Riddance, Jog on,next victim?

  • Karua 2012

  • i am a kalenjin, i am happy that we now have someone who standsup for people and stands up for what is right. i have been advocating for someone to came out and be a champion for justice. people might not like her, the lady stands on principal. this should encourage other mininsters and leaders to put the coutry ahead of personal gains. kenyans should support people like karua. i would like Odm ministers to resign too. We did not have a leader in kenya until now , kibaki and raila are a fraud

  • And Saul became Paul........after seeing the light. I hope this is a true conversion and that she will in the future stand by Kenyans in their hour of need because she did not do so consistently since 2003. By this I do not mean she should forge an alliance with ODM, rather, for true redemption she should chart out a new political path that puts Kenyans and Kenya first.

  • Resignation long overdue - but thank goodness, she finally did. As justice minister and not being able to administer justice was a total irony. Good riddance!

  • If you dont know what you are talking about then shut the hell up. Martha Karua did not fail, her ministry was not tasked with "administering justice", that is not the job of any member of the goverment, thats why we have the judiciary. Her's was policy formulation which she did. If you are going to throw accusations back it up.

  • Peace brother. Is she your kin or friend in anyway. I now shut my beak.

  • So sad, you can tell which tribe the people belong to by the response. And this is what we call educated Kenyans. Why don't people just admit they are a reflection of the politicians they loathe.

  • im proud of u Martha.. u have finally seen the light.. Barikiwa

  • I'll be back!"

In the mean time u'll not b missed.

Now we can turn on the tvs without seen a crawling dog!!

  • Kibaki should be shot dead

  • Mdomo mtupu!!

The lesson? Be careful what you fight for.

She fought for the chief in thief from Othaya, na wamemuuza big time.

Did she not tell ODM to go to court, when did she realize that the courts were corrupt and needed reform?

  • the issue with kenyans is that are still talking about a stolen election is it not time we moved on

  • rubbish! politics is a dirty game come 2012 she will go back to kibaki anatafuta kura, over my dead body cant vote n will never vote for her

  • r u angry cause she is kikuyu i like what she said at the end nothing wrong in belonging to a tribe but using ur tribe to propel hate

  • ...keep tribalism out of it - this is about hypocrisy - the same Karua insulted Annan, while the country burned.

Why is she acting surprised and incensed, kwani kifaki alikula mbuzi yake?, as kifaki's people would ask her, with impunity

  • Boring news !! she'll soon be reinstated after ironing her differences with kibaki. That's what kenyan government is all about , recycled politicians be it in PNU, ODM , NARC or whatever.

  • martha u have done us proud, its high time that those grumbling should follow suit!! We will see what Mirugi will accomplish as the new minister martha u have my vote come 2012

  • My heart says sympathy for her but my head reminds me of her actions in KICC when she short changed Kenyans and rigged the incumbent in! Does she think we will sympathise with her fickle emotions? The man she stood by and defended at his hour of need just kicked her in the teeth without second thought, how funny. And she talks about IPPG stuff? Didn't she sometimes back in 2007 say it was Kibaki's constitutional right to appoint commissioners he wanted? Well whats the difference now with judges?

  • Good riddance!!! good riddance!!!

  • She sounds like she's gonna cry....lmao Dint expect it but am not suprised!(who is?)....i ceased tryng to understand these people a long tym ago.....lemme finish my University then maybe i'll have time to actually try and evaluate theories on what our politicians actually think...and how their actions affect me!!hahahaha....

  • True to her style. She has earned my respect and that of many others. She is by far, a more mature Politician than the likes of Kalonzo, Mwakware et al. Good for her.

  • she can now engage fully with Fr Wamugunda.... and by the way,No sane kenyan will ever vote for Mt Kenya....

  • Comment removed

  • I have always under estimated Mama KARUA and more so for getting caught with a priest in a dark area some where. You know what? I admire your courage in dealing with this moribund government led by Kibaki. Now.... you must make noise followed by odinga.

  • Quitter....its a man's house and you just played into their hands. Now Karua you're free to join Ababu, Jirongos and the rest of noise makers...yu done, politically.

  • I cannot believe you are still using the same words you used in 2007?! If "keguoya" rigged himself why did your demigod Thug Raila joined his goverment? Was he forced? It's never too late he can quit even now!

  • It is not kaguoya's govt,it's the government of Kenya.I have no sympathy for Karua though. She helped the thief to steal...The Chickens come home to roost!

  • You have made the right decision Martha Karua! We support you fully. This whole government is moribund, not just the president.

  • A campaign strategy for 2012, i hope Kenyans can see through this. It isn't about reforms, she is crying out loud for being ignored. People don't change overnight, she is still the same woman who almost succeded in making Kenya a failed state.

I hope she is now persona non grata in state house.

    Chicken coming home to roost!!

  • As much as I do not support what she did and participated in during the last election, I applaud her decison to quit this unfunctional government. Kenya is on a destruction at the rate we are going. I do wish her well in all she does going forward.

  • I welcome her decision now she can start her campaine from the grass roots

  • Martha, you have bitten the same fingers with which you were fed. But all the best in your endeavors.

  • I think Martha Karua has done a good move. there is no point of working so hard to bring in reforms yet the old mzee Kibaki doesnt want that. if its not reforms, then there is no time to waste pushing for it. she is honorable in that she chose to stop earning a salary for nothing as a Minister instead of the other greedy Ministers we have who do nothing but earn salaries. I support her move and I pray for all the best in your future deeds!

  • That is a rude awakening for PNU. Martha Karua is just doing what she was dully elected to do in the 1st place; To defend the constitution and the PPL of Knya. It is sad that majority of the MP's we elected chose greed and self centered intrests. Kudos to her and we hope she will send chills down the Judicial hallways and in the House as it opens in days to come with a revolutionary agenda, To turn things around and prevent Knya from turning into a quagmire. Caleb Mauti

  • What a shame Martha, you have awarded victory to the corrupt and anti-reformers. It seems that your quest for the presidency over rode all other concerns to concede to your opponents and to quit the Government. It is understandable what you have done, but it is not desirable neither is it promoting the national course of reform. All the best in your new role moving forward.

  • rubbish!
