  • i like how they blur-out the H3 logo... JFC like you cant already tell IT IS A HUMMER YES A HUMMER

  • Great idea. This Company is using the same principle as the Diesel Electric Locomotive and the Newer ships of today. Now if they would use a more efficient Motor to power the Generator head like use a Tesla Turbine or a Rotary Motor. We hope to develop this soon.

  • its PINK!!!!

  • I found it amusing that they would have the electric motor tied to the transmission

  • @Blondets1

Funny! RC cars have done this for more than 20 years!

Race boats use Transmission as well.

    There is a reason.

  • Not bad... it's much quieter

  • Complete rubbish this video and this car. Only that this shit doesn't have a 100 mpg. It is just a blatant lie. This 100 mpg figure is calculated over the first 60 miles, of which 40 miles are calculated as driven by the electric motor. So they just add the gasoline in that is consumed during the last 20 miles, ignoring the energy you need to drive the vehicle of the first 40 electric miles. If this is how cars are engineered in the US and A, hahahaha

  • @joaquinveyron

Lol. Then let's discuss about your country's car manufacturers, and how they were engineered to be so "reliable" for the past 5 decades ;)

  • Well, it is Europe where I come from, home to motoring perfection, engineering ingenuity. The worst European car is easily better than any American under-engineered pile of steel.

  • Hmm :)

  • @joaquinveyron Sounds like the typical elitist euro attitude. Yes, we've all heard it before. No one in the world is quite as good as you are, whatever, loser. I've lived in Europe for five years and the only thing that impressed me was your historical sites. Nothing there in the present day to envy.

  • @joaquinveyron have your own opinions lol. us europeans are good in terms of technology, but theres not much that looks better than a hummer in a mans world, besides boobs.

  • @jimmyhoffa9

Not quite, you forgot the gigantic Marauder:

Have fun with your H3. I am just saying that getting 100 mpg out of an H3 is plain incorrect and stupid.

  • why don't they make lighter/smaller frames so it would get even more mileage. the hummer will be simply a energy hog.

  • stupid idea

  • Question: Can it go offroad? Go fording floods?

  • yeah, I like the project of H3.but what;s the weight of the vehicle??

  • That small 4 cylinder sounds like a nissan....I'll take the 5.3 V8 Alpha

  • it said ecotec on the top cover, so its a gm motor..

  • lithion batteries are old now, the toshiba scib batteries are better.

  • What's the towing capacity of this?

  • interesting

  • Maybe this company should buy out the hummer brand and turn them all to EV! Then I would definitely buy one. WOW! never thought I would say that!

  • "the bigger they are the bigger the draw backs until the technology catches up." bigger is exactly the problem right now, the technology is not small enough. A bigger vehicle has more room to accommodate the existing technology. Vehicles like the Prius are good for a couple of people but not much else.

  • the major players in the auto industry could easily run with this if they wanted.

  • Look around at the traffic light. Americans do not want electric vehicles yet. They want big vehicles and are willing to spend on energy to go along with the guzzlers. It's a good idea to present this now to (SAE) World Congress in Detroit, Michigan April 20-23, 2009. Americans are not even buying the 40 mpg cars that are available now. Some day and maybe...someday when the oil price rises when the supply drops when we realize we are financing both sides of the (not over yet) war on terror?

  • WE WANT DYNAMO TESTING !!! 40 miles coincidence with the ford`s Volt ? they`re just playing with us...

  • whats the point of showing a 'power run' with the wheels off the ground? that doesnt show tractive effort/torque, how much woudl the HUMMER weigh now? 3ton? Im all for the technology but this really is backwards engineering. Produce efficent low cost commuter cars that weigh little and cost little to run, thebn move onto bigger things, as at the moment the bigger they are the bigger the drawbacks until the technolgy catches up.

  • i agree and wondering same things u are sayin.

  • Dream on Chrysler,,,an affordable vehicle for the public needs to be under $15K

  • This is the future. Electric motors are more efficient, and the configuration makes the most of the inefficient internal combustion engine.

  • Hopefully cars like this will get to market at an affordable price in our lifetime . Unfortunately, I will not be holding my breath .

  • "Its proprietary blahblah powertrain"

What's so great about proprietary stuff?

  • i want one of thoues

  • Incredible.
