hello , im francisco from argentina , i ,m about buying a new mridanga, and they offer me , for a small higher price, a clay mridanga, instead fiber-glass mridanga. Do you know if clay mridangas sound better than fiber glass ? thanks
@FrankMustaine Hi Francisco, I would say that they just sound different. Some people like a certain sound more than another. Often it's only because it's what they are used to and comfortable with. Fiberglass is lighter, more durable, louder and a different tone than clay. In my personal opinion, it sounds wonderful. Some people of course will disagree with me. Such is life. My friend told me a friend of his took DMT and saw Krsna. I don't think drugs are a sustainable way of realising God though. Just chant Krsna or Christos and all realisation will come.
