I never used to like this song, mostly due to it's constant and heavy rotation on TV ads for services such as Jamster! but once I took a few listens, I enjoyed it.

But the best cover version (that I have to say rocked harder than the original) was at Dracula's dinner theatre in Melbourne -- they did a rock version as their final song with dancers and harmonies and everything. Blew me away!

He was bullied, but this song isn't about that. This is about the fact that he got rejected numerous times by various people in the music industry. He wrote this song when he was angry about how they wanted to change him to suit their needs, and ironically enough, this is the song that got him off the ground. My best friend disappoints me in only one regard: she hates Mika's voice. WHY? Seriously, the man has more talent than anyone else on the charts today, and he's not even on the charts anymore. I saw him for the very first time on The Tonight Show in '07 and I've been a fan ever since. I think he was on GMA twice a few years ago as part of their Concert series, but I haven't seen him here since. I think he would be an awesome musical guest on SNL...I would actually watch that part of the show for a change if he was on!

MIKA seems to have some sort of 'gay association', especially if guys listen to him (although that's total bullshit - does that make Eminem gay if gay people like his music?) and, apparently, MIKA's high vocal range makes him automatically gay. It's irrelevant that he's bisexual when they're judging him based on his talent, which ridiculous.

I hope MIKA eventually gets the attention he deserves, like Coldplay did with Paradise.

There are a lot of people who share that opinion with you about the theory, but trust me when I say that there is such a thing as being biologically bisexual. It has to do with how much and what kind of hormones your organs release at birth (and presumably during your teenage years as well). But that's the same for homosexuality and heterosexuality too. It's all biology, and I'm firmly of the opinion that a person has either very little or no control at all over the process.

I get what you're saying, but I can understand the feelings of people who don't want to come out. There is terrible enmity against homosexuals at this point in history. Bisexuality was not created as a cover for homosexuality, but for all I know there might be people who pretend to be bisexual for the sake of escaping scorn. Mika wouldn't do that though; I've never seen a more self-assured human being. I think that if he were going to come out, he'd have done it by now anyway.
