i think that whitebeard died because of ace if you remember they were about to leave when ace decided to punish akainu for mocking at whitebeard and then blackbeard showed up and a lot of thing happened including whitebeard's death

what im trying to say is that if ace ignored akainu they would leave but i guess this was a very good death because if he didnt die like this he would probably die from his illness on his ship

if ace didn't act so foolish and go against akainu because he mocked at whitebeard there was a chance that whitebeard would still live if remember they were leaving when akainu mocked at whitebeard ace went to battle to him and died then bleackbeard showed and a lot of things of happened including whitebeard's death so if ace just ignored what akainu said they would just leave and whitebeard would die

Thanks for the re-up. I can't wait for the Marine Ford Arc to beginn in the Anime. This will be the first serious attempt by any anime at matching Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann in terms of epicness and manlyness! And the great thing: One Piece just doesn't slow down like other Shonen-Manga like Bleach or Naruto or even Dragonball (which got horribly repetitive by the end), it just keeps getting more and more epic. And Oda says he's only half way through the story!
