  • About the person, we can judge only on personal diaries, at Nikolay of 2 them was a little. Family Romanovyh concerned to workaholics. Worked, forced to make others. Russian empire has been created only Romanovy. Imagine her durability, the whole century steal, take away, give territories - and she stands Russia Imperial!

  • How it is possible to restore validity? First of all it is necessary to understand tragedy and Golgotha, as Russian people and German. It is not necessary to argue, prove much. It is necessary to draw conclusions. In 20 century we have lost three traditional continental monarchy. A basis of traditional Europe. We have sufferred defeat in ideology of monarchic idea of imperial outlook. A conclusion it is possible to make only one, all of us have lost?

  • To answer the question why restore a monarch: tradition. Of course setting up an absolute monarchy is very undesirable nowadays. Yet having a monarch like the queen of Britain or the king of Japan is ver well accepted in countries with a long history of monarchical rule. It's pretty much a part of their cultures. Furthermore is it really better to have a ceremonial president like those in Germany, Israel etc than a traditional monarch?

  • Actually when Hungary left the Iron Curtain in 1989 there was talk of restoring the Habsburg monarchy, but he made it clear that he was completely uninterested in this.

    Pity.

  • Nice statements: Diversity is part of the unity and europe can be the continent of freedom. I fully share this hope and vision. Europe has a long way behind and a long to go and we Europeans have a big chance to be born here. NOw!

  • Lang lebe unser Kaiser!!!!!

  • He's not a pretender to the Kaiser's throne

  • The Holy Roman Emperor was elected, it was not a hereditary position. There is no titular Holy Roman Emperor. The representatives of the old electors would have to elect a titular Holy Roman Emperor.

  • It was elected but later became hereditary as an improvement to the older system.

  • @cfvh You are wrong. After 1556, the Pope gave inheritance right for Habsburg dynasty in the throne of HR. Empire

  • @celebration81 No, I am not. The Holy Roman Emperor was always elected. A Wittelsbach was even Holy Roman Emperor at one point after 1556... Please research this. There has been no Holy Roman Emperor since Francis II. Of course, the heirs of the electors could elect a titular Holy Roman Empire.

  • @cfvh It is not true. Please Read real encyclopedias like English E.Britannica, or German Brockhaus Encyclopedia.

  • @cfvh The german golden bull of 1356 made the H.R. election less democratic. Some princes elected the future emperors instead of the reichstag. It further destabilized the central power.

  • @cfvh By the help of the papacy, the Habsburgs tranformed the title of HR. Emperor into a hereditary position. However it was hereditably in paternal lines. Maria Theresia couldn't inherit the Emperor title, that's why Wittelsbach was elected

  • Holy Empire ceased to exist on time of Francisc von Habsburg 200 years ago so His Majesty has nothing to do with this dead empire. He is the Emperor of Austria and the Apostolic King of Hungary...for those who consider him like this of course.

  • De facto of course it ceased to exist but de jure it still exists in the minds of those who believe that it should never have stopped existing and it was the result of pressure of Napoleon Vonaparte. We look forward to its glorious restoration!

    Lang lebe unser kaiser!

Austria is the Heart of Europe and Vienna the heart of Austria. We love her great Culture!

We wish to see her become great again!

  • As an American, I'm totally surprised that anyone wants to restore an emperor. Why, for Heaven's sake? I find the whole deposed emperors thing fascinating- the pretender to the Chinese throne is a video editing guy in Beijing, and the Romanov's have a family association for their disputed pretender. What possible advantage would there be to restoring this dude to the throne?

  • The United States isn't a creation of monarchs since we were a colony before becoming a state. As for the 'permanent Stability and Peace' argument, I'm not sure the kings and emperors did too well on that criterion, though revolution wasn't the destructive force at the time. Nonetheless, its interesting to see that someone in the world holds firmly to the divine right of kings. Good luck to you. One question: Bourbons or Bonapartes- who are you supporting in the counter-revolution?

  • My point was perhaps unclear- we were never a STATE under a monarch, only a colony. Monarchs did influence our history, no doubt. But it isn't history we disagree about, it's philosophy- you seem to support the divine right of kings, while I believe that God's will is manifest in the people. But you didn't answer my question- would you support the Bourbons or the Bonapartes for France? And another one: is constitutional monarchy acceptable in your view (i.e., has Great Britain gone too far?).
