To answer the question why restore a monarch: tradition. Of course setting up an absolute monarchy is very undesirable nowadays. Yet having a monarch like the queen of Britain or the king of Japan is ver well accepted in countries with a long history of monarchical rule. It's pretty much a part of their cultures. Furthermore is it really better to have a ceremonial president like those in Germany, Israel etc than a traditional monarch?

The Holy Roman Emperor was elected, it was not a hereditary position. There is no titular Holy Roman Emperor. The representatives of the old electors would have to elect a titular Holy Roman Emperor.

Holy Empire ceased to exist on time of Francisc von Habsburg 200 years ago so His Majesty has nothing to do with this dead empire. He is the Emperor of Austria and the Apostolic King of Hungary...for those who consider him like this of course.

As an American, I'm totally surprised that anyone wants to restore an emperor. Why, for Heaven's sake? I find the whole deposed emperors thing fascinating- the pretender to the Chinese throne is a video editing guy in Beijing, and the Romanov's have a family association for their disputed pretender. What possible advantage would there be to restoring this dude to the throne?

All Countries and States were the creature of Monarchs. Kings and Emperors,Queens and Empresses.

The Republics are simply userpers of Monarchical Authority and Power.

Enemies of permanent Stability and Peace. Products of evil and destructive and murderous Rebelions like the French and Russian Revolutions and the American Revolution that produced the Civil War. And the Mexican Revolution that resulted in a Civil War also.

The United States isn't a creation of monarchs since we were a colony before becoming a state. As for the 'permanent Stability and Peace' argument, I'm not sure the kings and emperors did too well on that criterion, though revolution wasn't the destructive force at the time. Nonetheless, its interesting to see that someone in the world holds firmly to the divine right of kings. Good luck to you. One question: Bourbons or Bonapartes- who are you supporting in the counter-revolution?

You wouldn't be in America if the Kings of England and France and Spain and Portugal had not supported the Discovery of America. Christofer Columbus ,John Cabot and all the rest were patriotic Monarchists not traitor Republicans and they all were grateful and supported their Monarchs. Learn your History!

My point was perhaps unclear- we were never a STATE under a monarch, only a colony. Monarchs did influence our history, no doubt. But it isn't history we disagree about, it's philosophy- you seem to support the divine right of kings, while I believe that God's will is manifest in the people. But you didn't answer my question- would you support the Bourbons or the Bonapartes for France? And another one: is constitutional monarchy acceptable in your view (i.e., has Great Britain gone too far?).

Genocides were commited by Republics like the recent one in Africa by the Hutus against the Tutsis.And by Dictatorships who were the product of Republican Movements and Republics like the Dictatorships of Hitler and Stalin.

The abolition of the German and Russian Monarchies by the Rebublicans was responsible for producing the Genocides in Germany and Russia.
