  • LOLOLOL so funny i love how they convinced him so easily just by the music XD

  • Awh, poor Amber. I kinda liked her around "Mom let's just deal with it" and she starts flirting with the black dude, but this scene's just digging the knife in.

  • haha

  • what is corny collins sayiing?

  • @MrBOOMHEADSHOT9000 Lock up those Von Tussels

  • Would you seriously get arrested for messing with a pagent? What mad laws they had back then! lol.

  • If they put that in it would ruin the song...

  • This never apears in the movie right?

  • Velma is my favorite character, I'm glad this got vut. In the play, she doesn'y get fired, but is promoted to make a line of cosmetics for black women, I like that one because she still gets what is coming to her, but she still has a job and is not humiliated by being let go on national television.

  • plus she and Amber turn good at the end too!!

  • I agree. In my mind, Velma gets rehired because no one else can manage the show better. After all, it's a very small town ;)

  • someone should make the full you can't stop the video (the ten minute one) with this ending in it instead

  • I don't like how they gave Amber's lines to a cop, I would have loved it if Amber and Velma joined in at the end like in the Broadway version.

  • It would have looked really dumb tho in a movie.

  • Me too! That would've been a good ending for everyone. Velma's my fave and she shouldn't end unhappily.

  • LOL!

btw, in the Hairspray extensions(from the DVD), the rehearsal scene of 'Miss Baltimore Crabs' has some lyrics not featured in the CD or the movie itself, about the Mister Von Tussle ('the old fart dropped dead and left me some money, so i bought this station so that the whole nation can see amber and me')..anyone have info about it?

  • The lyrics you heard are from the Broadway Musical.

  • Wow, that was horrible.

I'm glad they cut it out. The final result was definitely better.

Still, it would have been nice if the Van Tussles had joined at the end.

  • im glad they didnt put this in the movie

    it makes no sense,

why would she get arresed O.O

i think they should put the edna one in tho

  • She got arrested for trying to fix the pageant.

  • Hilarious. This should be in the film!

  • This would have been better if the Von Tussles sang like they did in the broadway version...but it is still cool

  • Why the hell isn't this in the movie?

  • this is cool but it would have really messed up the ending so i think they made a good call on leaving out this one.

  • cool!

  • I enjoy morphing the last song scene and this together.

  • im glad that didnt make it 2 the finish of the movie. that wouldnt of fit @ all

  • What is Amber going to do ?

  • Hook up with that black guy she was making eyes at earlier in the scene, of course :D

  • She actually started dancing with the black guy she was eyeing. You can see it clearly on the DVD version of the deleted scene which goes a bit further then this

  • and she can actually be seen for a split second in the releashed movie too.

  • could someon put what cornny colins was saying and the rest of the council members... about arresting velma because its kinda fast and i cant understand it. thanks but great video! and great job

  • Lock up those Von Tussles! We gonna shake our fanny muscles!

  • thanks, my dear i love it! now i can understand! thank you very much! great job ! God bless you merry christmas!

  • LOL.

  • This would have definitely brought the final scene to a screeching halt.

  • Poor Amber, she now has neither of her parents. Franklin dead and Velma arrested.

  • actually in the original, both of her got arrested.

  • That's true, but in this version, dad's dead, mom's arrested.

  • Was Amber's dad in the play?

  • No he wasn't.

  • Amber's dad wasn't in the play in order to respect Sonny Bono

  • What are you talking about?

  • In the Original hairspray Sonny Bono played Amber's dad and out of respect they decided not to include the character in the play.

  • Whose Sonny Bono

  • OMG are you serious??? I'm going to pretend you didn't just ask that!

  • But really, who is that?

  • he isnt in this nor is he in the play

  • @missbaltimorecrabs whose Sonny Bono (please dont call me an idiot)

  • You should have put the entire scene, the dancing and all, but that's cool. I like this one better than the theatrical ending, but that's me. I see why it was cut.
