  • I was in SICU for headaches.

  • This is the same EKG monitor they used after my back was snapped. I did not see anything until they put my brace on.

  • Why does the monitor say supraventricular tachycardia if it's ventricular tachycardia?

  • @Mortido Those monitors never read anything right...

  • Synus Tachycardia!Much better than VT....Amazing to see, thanks for posting!

  • tres cool thanks

  • Had a pt myself that went up to 230's. Was real, and scary! wish i would have saved the tele srtip. Would have been a nice show and tell.

  • Fantastic vid!

  • I love sinus rythm. :)

  • "I've searched everywhere for this clip, and I've just made my own." LMAO Good on ya! That's an awesome clip.

  • VERY cool.

  • the heart may have not been pounding away at 200+ but the electrical activity was. just cause the monitor is showing 200 dont mean thats the mechanical response

  • That's like the coolest thing, seeing it return to the normal QRS almost immediately like that! Well done you guys!

  • this seems not ethical ... did you get permission?

  • Get over yourself! If you want to obsess about something, obsess over your morbid obesity.

  • it's illegal. you could lose your license

  • it's only unethical if the patient's info are present...this monitor shows no patient info.

  • Exactly. HIPPA be damned!

  • It's not a HIPAA violation because there is no items in the video that could identify the patient. It's completely fine because this can be used for educational purposes. Besides, HIPAA sucks anyway!

  • the patients name wasnt on the monitor, how could they loose their license?

  • i wanna who's heart that was dang it was pretty strong to take that 200+ bpm

  • Whoa is that speed possible.

  • In v-tach? of course.

  • 226 bpm. wow.

  • Unable to compose my thoughts in a single comment, here are (oops, wrong grammar what a zinger!)a list of people who cares:

  • omg.. i r offended.

i doesn't expect you to believes me. it are just sacrsamm.lol

  • nice video :-)

  • hah why are you guys arguing over a video of someone being cardioverted. It's very apparent what his SpO2 is. It's 100% because he's either tubed, or being ventilated with 100% O2. lol

  • not to mention his perfusion is zero. look at the pleth.

  • I hear two beeps.

    Is one a pulse oximeter?

  • I think one is the defibrillator heart alarm and the other one is the monitor

  • OK, so they must not have a pulse ox on him then.

    Thanks!!

I know one is in A Major.

The other monitor is in G Major.

  • your an idiot.

SpO2 is at 100%. cant you see that from the monitor?

  • I think the only one who's an IDIOT, is the person who names their username three cus words.

I'm not an IDIOT. I'm severly visually impared.

What are you calling me an IDIOT FOR?

  • Hm...now why should we believe you? You can't seem to grasp the difference between your and you're (hint: one is a contraction, one is a possessive pronoun), you misspelled prestigious, you broke about three grammar rules with the statement "i have a 200 iq and am currently studying...", and, finally, capitalization and the use of the apostrophe simply escape you. Perhaps you're above the rest of us, with our lowly proper grammar? Or are you just an arrogant, lying dick? Hint: go for the latter.

  • This was supposed to be a reply to fuckshitass911's last comment. Pardon for the confusion.

  • Haha, very good job verbally kicking fuckassshit's ass!

  • computers can read out loud, ya know.

  • LOL wow if you look at the patients pleth he had no perfusion while he was in Vtach... Technically he was in PEA. Usually we dont use Adenosine in a code situation like that... We would go for paddles. AWESOME opportunity for taking this video.

  • Just reviewed this video again (I think its awesome you got video of this-I might start bringing my camera to work) and I heard a 'shock' I was wrong I thought you chemically cardioverted but I read the details and it was electrical cardioversion. My mistake I saw your Adenosine video first and I thought this one was the same treatment.

  • I have just had this procedure as an emergency.

Lucky for me I was put to sleep first.

it must be painful to have it done half awake.

  • James, you are weird! Love Tam

  • WOW!!! how long did the pt. stay in rhythm? Did the pt. walk out of the ED?

    and

  • i'd love to put this clip in my ACLS silde presentation!

  • Cool, I've also just posted a svt reveted with adenosine

  • Awesome man, I got to see one on my ICU rotation and was awesome. Thanks for this :D

  • wow, was that an actual code?

    That was amazing.

  • I love the comment about just making your own. That was hysterical. On a professional level, no doubt he was sedated with a Benzo of some sort. Great look at how effective synchronized cardioversion can be. I'd love to see a video of a PSVT converted with Adenosine.

  • Sure, maybe this afternoon we'll do a svt

  • I've just posted a svt reveted with adenosine
