I would say there is no right or wrong way to make rocky road. These days there are that many take-offs of the actual recipe that no one really knows what the "proper" way to make it is. I always thought traditionally it was glaced cherries, mini marshmallows, some type of nut, and some type of crushed biscuit in chocolate.

Chocolate AND vanilla and strawberry ice cream? Peanuts? Coconut?? TURKISH DELIGHT?!?! Damn, Rocky Road ice cream in Australia is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than the kind we have here in America. Don't get me wrong, it sounds pretty good (It's hard to go wrong with ice cream and toppings) but wow, what a difference!

Ours: Chocolate ice cream, mini marshmallows (some manufacturers use a "marshmallow swirl", may they burn) and almonds (maybe pecans or walnuts).

@naruto14271 its basically gelatin/jelly (or 'jello'?) flavoured usually with roasewater, tastes really sweet and a bit like perfume. Usually coloured pink to match, it's the kind of thing your grandma always buys for the kids thinking they love it. It is pretty weird.

if you know what rose essence is. get a bottle of that and smell it, and pretty much imagine a chewing jelly-like square that has a rose essence taste and is really sweet

This Turkish delight that you see in the video is coated in chocolate (Turkish delights aren't usually coated in chocolate, usually they are coated with icing sugar)
