@mancmuso1 Can't wait for his new release, which I hope comes out soon. Might be wrong, but think they did eventually release Fade Into Light with the bonus tracks worldwide in the past year or so. Take Care ;.)
This is a great jazz version of this song. Boz Scaggs still has one of the greatest voices in the business today. I could picture him doing this and alot of his other hits in a nice jazz club somewhere. Great version. Mike G. Drums and Percussion. Rhode Island
Noticed Norbert Sachtel was on sax on this...he's a long time member with Tower of Power as well. If I was stranded on an island and had to choose between this version and the original, I think I'd go with this one, but just barely.
@AKOutback may none of us ever be put in the situation where we have to sacrifice any of our music. Tower of Power is amazing live - both versions are divine of Lowdown. Peace out ;.)
Soft and warm, the Quiet storm, B O Z fm. 102.9, S C A G. The Bay Areas Own, Boz Scagg. Tune entittle "Lowdown". Ladies, Whatever has been spoken out of envy, to say who or what you are. No this, I am not complete without you. Men needs to learn how to treat you as the flower that you are. We need to worship the ground that you walk. But then that's me. Sweet P.
Thank youi for this redition. Back when time was simple. I like both versions. He still sounds the same. I like to hear him and bobby caldwel together, and the back up singners, their sight for sore eyes. very nice. Bottle of wine, candle lite, soft lights with the the silky smooth sound of Boz Scagg Lowdown (Unplugged). Ladies, talk to me. Sweet P.
@pineapple5674 i agree both of the versions are Great i like this one with the womans touch and its a bit more sensual....but man do i also love the up beat old school one
@gilgameshida the diversity Boz shows by taking this classic and making it new is amazing - some other great super-chilled versions are on YT of this song as well, Boz and the musicians he works with are first class. peace to ya ;.)
Whether he is backed by a full orchestra or a simple group consisting of congas, bass, keyboards and his girls, Boz is a consummate artist. This track truly showcases his vocal chops and range. An essential track for your ipod! Thank you for posting
...lovely...I love the kissing leaves...great colour pallette...easy movement...dancing butter-flowers...mellow sounds...perhaps my favourite so far......well done O......jc
thank you Paula - a huge compliment coming from you as you have superb taste in music & create inspiring videos. Boz & band made a great song so elegant in this version, enjoy ;.)
Boz had the crème de la crème backing him on this smooth n' smoochy set. Should've been released worldwide!

Love this song in any shape or form, one of my all-time favorites
Written by David Paich of Toto, would have liked to see them perform it.
