There's a saying that goes something like " If you talk the talk you better be able to walk the walk" and Dennis was no exception at either. An amazing athlete well deserving of HOF status!
Dennis Rodman, whether you hate him, love him, have no idea what to think about him, was an individual. At the end of the day he was himself and flamboyant, emotional but he was and still is unique. We've all had our share of screw ups, and he has had his publicized to the world. Just as maturity comes with experience, maturity comes from seeing priorities clearly in life. Dennis seems to have made that distinction, a uniquely talented basketball player and hopefully an even better individual.
Dennis Rodman is a force of nature. How can anyone not want to have Dennis Rodman on their team? He was a master psychologist on the court as he knew how to get into people's heads. He went after the ball like a pit bull after a pork chop.
He hustled, he worked, he absorbed the side of the game that nobody else wanted. He did it masterfully. All he did was be a world champion 5 times. He is a masterful showman, but his HOF speech showed the depth and the heart of the man.
Michael Jordan got into peoples head, because was the greatest player to ever step on the court, so many opnents were in awe.
Dennis Rodman got into peoples head because he was the greatest player to irrate, and piss other teams off off quickely, which resulted in poor performance.
Putting other teams in awe of Jordan, and driving them crazy with Rodman, is a chemistry only Phil Jackson could put together in the lap, there never being an explosion.
Rodman grabbed 23.4 percent of the available rebounds when he was on the floor over his career. Kevin love is a beast this season and he is grabbing 23.5 percent of the boards available... that was an average year for Rodman.
Dennis Rodman = Epitome of Defence.
