@timealloted12 BCM is a Colt with a different name. They are some of the strongest, most accurate, and most reliabel AR's around. Google "Filthy 14" if you want to know what they are capable of.

I sold my M&P15 to build a BCM. I think because of the little extra cost the BCM is for the serious shooters. Casual range shooters can be fine with something less. I opted for the 14.5" midlength with a DD 12" FF hand guard. (13oz) I thought about a shorter & lighter rail but taking into account the strength & weak support arm stretch I gain from the 12" DD it's a no brainer for me. I hope to hit up MDFI and at least one TigerSwan carbine course next summer and I know the BCM will run well.

Not hating on anyone ..err..PFIDude.. but seems he spends all his money on guns and forgets about the optics. My rule of thumb is your optics should cost AT LEAST as much as the gun you put them on. Counter Sniper.. come on man. Leapers.. really?! Wastes of money and I hope nobody on here follows PFI Dudes lead on optics. Take some hints from Sadly Missing. Other than that.. PFIDude rocks.. he adds lots to the videos I think as far as personallity.

I'm really interested in the BCM ar but trying to decide between that and a CMMG. I hear great things about both, though the BCM is a little pricier. I think I'm going to stick with iron sights though. Used the ACOG overseas and didn't like the tunnel vision and the fact that when it takes a decent whack it screws your BZO.

@danieldefenseM4 I went with the BCM and I can honestly say that this is the highest quality I have ever seen in a weapon. The workmanship and function of the weapon even exceeds that of the M16's we were issued in the Marines. I am very happy with my weapon, which is the 16" hammer forged barrel, mid length upper and blemished lower. This thing just chews up shitty wolf ammo without any malfunctions. I also must say their customer service and speed in shipping are outstanding.

@pyotrpumpkinhead hes got a Troy Ind. two point battle sling. Pretty nice sling, but for two point i would go with the Viking Tactics Original Sling. The Troy one has a little "pull tab" that loosens the sling and I did not care for that.

BCM makes great stuff. I like their midlengths. I ordered one a couple of months ago an it arrived in about a week. That's pretty good in my opinion as some of the other manufacturers such as Rock River and Del-Ton seem to be seriously backordered. Considering that BCM ranks up there with Colt in quality I think it's even more impressive that you don't have to wait weeks for their stuff.

I employ tactical farts in to my edc as well. I just used one in an emergency colon stress scenario and everyone cleared the room. Effective tactic.

I'm a huge hater of Counter Sniper optics. Their products are absolutely terrible. A buddy of mine got a 1-4x, but the objective lens was cracked. They claimed it was his fault, when it was all just crap worksmanship. If its broke, throw it away- their warranty ensures you'll never get it fixed.
