Tokio Hotel for example, the German version was tuned in E, the English version in Eb.

Mudvayne LD50 was in B, buy live they played it in C.

Metallica albums are in E, but live they played it in Eb.

Does that mean that somebody was manipulated the songs or something?

Orgy is one of my favorite bands to date, but I never thought there image was forced... Obviously visuals are a big part of the industry, and they wanted their image to reflect their sound (as most bands do, and should) It was supposed to be a futuristic image to match there futuristic sound... Orgy was way ahead of their time, I think had they come out today, they would have gone much further...

This demo is great. It has a raw quality to it. Candy Ass and Vapor Transmission are classic Orgy albums. They have real talent. Whoever mixed and produced those two albums is a genious behind the mixing desk.

I'm a bit confused...it all sounds like Orgy but Amir is a good engineer and had access to sick studio's around this time (he produced Coal Chamber's debut among others), plus the fact that Julien-K took years to release their debut suggests he's a perfectionist...I wouldn't be surprised if this was a cover. It does sound like its them tho, the singer sounds like Jay

A demo is something put down on tape to use as benchmark for the general concept you want to use, and then you start doing a final version that you go all perfectionist on. It makes sense that it's raw, and I'm certain this is Orgy.

The music is pure genius. Always been a fan. Their glam image seemed very forced though, for the most part, as if they were only doing it to appease the 16 year olds of 1998. These guys are just professional song writers with white collar written all over them. I think subconsciously most people recognized this and failed to take them seriously. Orgy doesn't get enough credit for their real talent because people are too focused on their goofy makeup. Video killed the radio star.

I don't know? I think they are exploring a new thing. Their music is themed in an odd tech way. Dreams in Digital is one recurring example. The lyrics are exploring the theme of escapism through technology. In the end you recognize that the lyrics could be of an ex-flame that was pushed into a certain place by the singer (I used to compose your dreams).

they never officially broke up, but all the members are sidetracked. Jay is a producer working with his record label. Paige is in another band. Bobby is a photographer for Playboy. Ryan and Amir are really busy doing other stuff. Their main side project Julien-K have their record finished and it's due out next January. They also do a lot of remix work for other bands, and Amir also DJs with another member of JK. they are also working with Chester Bennington on his side project Dead By Sunrise.
