"it's not perfect! not everyone is covered! why do we have to worry about keeping insurance!". They are babies. You can't have a perfect world. To follow this logic why not gaurntee every1 a job, a home, etc.. Cause it doesn't work.
Eleanor Clift should have lost all her credibility when she said she would have done fellatio on the RAPIST Bill Clinton during the Monica Lewinski scandal. Is she supposed to be a journalist or what? Aren't journalists supposed to be OBJECTIVE? She surely is not, she is BIASED and her arguments do not make sense.
Eh? Clinton might have been many things but a rapist he wasnt . You Americans dont have a civilised socierty until you have universal healthcare free at the point of delivery.Isnt that the least any decent country deserves?. and dont give me any garbage about " dangerous big government"
anyone who opposes that is either
a) stupid
or b) making a lot of money out of exploitive healthcare plans. Go Obama !!!
Clinton was a criminal & a rapist, check the facts, he gave a fat lip to one of the ladies he raped & told her to put ice on it.. This country has the greatest healthcare system in the world. It just needs a little fine tuning. This healthcare plan is about control & is unconstitutional. If you want to really see how much more expensive healthcare can be wait until it is "FREE." The world looks to the USA for help in the time of crisis(Haiti). It is the people who want Obamacare that are stupid.
absolute rubbish. The sign of a civilised country rather than a deeply selfish and scarred one is how it treats its ill and weak. be glad youre not ill my friend and asked if you want to save your right or left luing as your cover aint high enough. The wise decision to elect Obama after years of an idiot is not stymid by the crazies of the republican party. re clinton get over it - you tried to impeach him - you failed. he got elected twice !! now get back to your snake charming !
I've been watching the McLaughlin Group for years, and I've always been struck by the fact that Eleanor Clift is usually interrrupted and not allowed to finish her remarks, whereas the other members of the panel are not treated so rudely. McLaughlin, the moderator, rarely interfers and asks the others to let her talk. She usually ends up having to raise her voice and ask to be allowed to finish. It's maddening, because her analysis is usually the best of all of them.
Republicans are so single minded. they are like a caner. They use all of the entities that the fedral goverment provides, but not for this...? What a bunch of fucking morons!
Interesting to see that some Americans who claim the US is the 'greatest country in the world' still don't give a shit about those people who can't afford healthcare...sad really...
well said. its more important to Republicans at least o let nutters run around with guns killing each other than having a healthcare system - whats ad ans selfish state of affairs, .....
The Interstate Highway and Defense Bill was passed as a power to provide for the common defense, and to raise and equip armies. The post office is specifically provided for in the constitution in article I, section 8. The fire department is a function of local or county government.
Wouldn't provide for the "general welfare" in that same section apply to provision of healthcare for citizens of the United States? Or at least an option to provide "general welfare"?
Only left-wingers would insist that people will keep their health care in the face of textual proof to the contrary. Direct from the House health care bill:
"..beginning after the end of the 5-year period beginning with Y1, an employment-based health plan in operation as of the day before the first day of Y1 must meet the same requirements as apply to a qualified health benefits plan under section 101, including the essential benefit package under section 121."
The "nonpartisan, independant" research firm [Lewin Group] being cited by the GOP, is owned by Health Insurer UnitedHealth, so you'll have to be dumb and blind to believe what they are saying.
On July 22nd, the Washington Post had a good article on their link.

That idiot blonde girl said something like "since it's not in the constitution, we should do it".
Funding the fire department isn't in there...
Neither is having a post office
neither is building interstates....
I guess we should tear all those things down.
