getting a cast on my broken leg!!!!!

I fractured my growth plate in my heel in 2008 because of gymnastics and I was in a cast twice and a walking cast 5 different times through out the years. It still hurts me now every once and awhile and it wont stop for another couple of years. And the times I was in a walking cast I couldn't walk on it. I have probably been in a walking cast 2 times every year.

@797gymnast same thing happend to me only i broke my ankels growth plate had the normal cast on for about 3 months and then walking casts for about year and a half but couldnt walk on it because it hurt now 5 years later it still hurts sometimes when it gets cold outside or I run for long periods of time it sucks but hey thats life

broke my femur (big bone in ur thigh) and tore my mcl and miniscus in football.. cast for 3 months from toes to hip for the break and surgery after for the muscle tears.. it sucks.. then rehab cuz my leg was like a third of the other. that took a year... its sucks dude i feel u

Hey!! I was in a cast for 3 and a half months lol then had to wear ankle protection for 2 months. Then I got it off then every time I turned my ankle wrong. IT HURT LIKE HELL!! The good thing is...... that 5 months of pain is over and I'm back skateboarding and other physical and non physical activities.It was fun having a broken leg at times. I played video games all day with my cousin and I didnt have to get up and get food because my mom and dad helped me out. THE END

that sucks when that happens. My actual break did not hurt unless i was putting weight on it but when all the blood rushed down i was in some of the worst pain i had ever been in!

you think 6-8 weeks is a long time? try 6 moths. i was playing soccer and somone kicked me in the small bones close to the toes nd it took 6 months to heal!

Technically you can't "break" your growth plate. You can crack or split it, It's a segment of your bone that has a tenancy to grow in the bone.

I broke my growth plate. Docs said it was a sprain. So i walked on it for a year and it healed itself. Go me:)

i did the same thing. i went to my normal doctor and she said it was just pulled ligaments so she gave me an aircast and crutches for 2 weeks and and it wasn't better so i went back and she said go for 6 weeks like this and after the 8 weeks it still wasn't better so we went back and she said to go to an orthopedic surgeon so i did and they did xrays and saw a fracture in my growth plate but it wasn't healed right so they rebroke it and i had one of those casts. i was out sep- feb

I broke my growth plate in my ankle, 2 years ago in the 8th grade tackling in football. i was 5'6 now im still 5'6 going in 10th. Doctor said my growth plate was already done and I can still grow through other plates. nope -.-

But idgaf lol one of the shortest on my team in basketball i still ball shit up (I try lol)

I'm sure ur just fine now, but I had 2 wear a cast from my foot all the way up 2 my knee and man was it miserable, a real pain in the ass, then a year later I had 2 have the same thing done on the other foot, could this get any worse, OMG, now because it did'nt heal right I'm stuck in a wheelchair, it just got worse, DAMN, so count yourself lucky you can still walk, I wish I still could, so now I watch all the guys doin stuff that I used 2 do and can't anymore, SUCKS.....

i just got my cast on today. it was so warm when they put it on. i didn't break my ankle though, i had surgery to repair my torn ligaments. my 5th month dealing with an ankle injury. boo.:( i hoe you get better faster then me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
