Silent Hill COULD have PROBABLY been a better game, had it stuck to what it is supposed to be; a horror story. But in "The Room," it seems to revolve too much around action and combat, which also wasn't even worked very well on, which made the game extremely dull and irritating. Good monsters though, but very annoying to fight and kill all the time (and those ones that can't be killed had you blown them into pieces.

So yeah, Resident Evil 5 is better.

I don't care who you are Resident Evil 5 is the bomb! I am a big fan of the Resident Evil series and i gotta say they did a great job on the graphics for part 5! It blew me away!! I just finished R.E. 5 not to long ago, and it was just...wow. I love this game, and if they ever came out with more, I would definitely  play them all!! No doubt in my mind! And the bosses in R.E. 5 are the coolest, even cooler than the Tyrant and Nemesis!! The Silent Hill series comes no where close to R.E.!!! :)

i tried the demo on xbox and never managed to finish this or the other map. always got killed by boss infected. movement and fighting controls sucks monkey balls and this game is way too hard. maby for those people who have played previous RE's it could be easier but for me its just too hard. i dont know if contrils are fixed in full game but it just doesnt remove the fact that this game fails...

Actually if you play a good team it is pretty hard. Playing the computer is easy, I got all the achievements pretty easy but i was not talking about difficulty. Before I was talking about I love how the zombies run at you in L4D, meaning they should of added that in RE 5 to make it more exciting.

RESIDENT EVIL IS BETTER THAN SILENT HILL because resident evil is more scary and has more plotline and more interesting things like in RESIDENT EVIL 3 when you come into contact with nemesis you can do 1 of 3 different things that affect the story. Silent Hill does have the fog effect and harder enemies but that does not contribute to the overall gameplay of silent hill for you can get bored with running through fog and getting scared by dogs and zombies, you can get used to it after a while....
