@RUsum1too its called using a sequencer.. you would be surprised at how much it is used by performing artist and even singers.

got 3 keyboards in this music room.. each does a particular task well. Top keyboard (not shown)is great at programming and orchestration, middle has great digital sounds and the bottom keyboard is a heavier action with great speakers. (bit heavy to move)

A choice of keyboards for gigs & a backup just in case.
