Yes, CJ gets an "A Plus" for "the intimidation factor." Many Congressmen/ other politicos have backgrounds as 'District Attorneys" so showing up at a hearing, etc., ready and able to 'tear the other guy's head off" is a distinct advantage.
She captures this exactly in "24."

Cherry Jones makes a great President.....she has really intimidating presence for her character. It is really hard to believe that she is a nice person in real life - but I guess that's why she is a Tony award-winning actor. It was fun to hear her bring her "Southern Accent" to this clip. Much more authentic (obviously) than Hillary's attempts at "Arkansas twang," or "cool New York insider."
