I love this album. I loved the Romantics as a kid, but in the summer of 93, I bought this used album on vinyl and played it that entire summer. So, it reminds me of the early 80s and the early 90s simultaneously. Just tight, locked-in, neo 60s rock and roll.....
just saw these guys in Temecula, CA and they were awesome, Jimmy was the only one missing....still sound great! Can't wait for them to come back to Southern Cali again!
Try singing 'That's what I like about you' to this song. Sounds like it got caught in a 'butterfly effect' or something. Go read up on the butterfly effect if you don't know what it means.
@Carthsting In a way yes. I was thinking of the Ray Bradbury story (based on the butterfly effect), A Sound Of Thunder about a hunter who goes back in time to kill a dinosaur. He mistakenly steps on a butterfly and ends up changing history forever but ever so slightly. This song sounds so close to 'What I Like' that you'd think history had changed for a moment.
When I look in your eyes, you really hold me tight. Tell me I'm the only one wanna come over tonight. Yeahhh.

@Manwithjeep I was more thinking about those fractal pictures, their repetitiveness remind me of those typical 80s songs.

The KINKS recorded over 600 (that's six hundred) songs, they influenced a lot of musicians, including the Romantics.

Always remember this song because some stations would play it along with the next on this album - What I like About You - together.
