ive been there.. i use to go passed that every week when i used to study in dabhel madressa. ofcourse, i used to drick sugarcane juice from their everytime i go pass. i loved it so much as a kid n even now. hmm about using cow to extract the juice, wel obviously its cos, with cows, u dont need to waste electricity. with machines, u'l need petrol etc. i think cos of stinginess. lol
this is maroli, i'm from maroli and this place is right across the street from where my house used to be, i grew up drinkin cane juice from there and still crave it to this day! miss maroli more than anything!!
I have been to this place many times. i must admit that juice was damn delicious. but why do they use animal to roll that machine, they could use any modern machine instead. only the sugar canes which he uses must maintain the same.
this kind of drink is also available in my country. especially during hot seasons and the month of fasting (ramadhan). but usually no cow is involved. the vendors press them by diesel or electric powered machines.
omg 8-0 this vid brings bak so many memories, i wnet to this place on my holiday to india/gujarat/navsari (i have a home there) and i remember saying "the RSPCA wont be happy with that" lol... thanx 4 that =)
i mean drink in my last comment..
