True.. but.. if u land everything on someone he should be dead by the alpha a 220 fixer got! If he dont take ppl in the alpha he can always kite or something ..and whit 10 sec AS recharge it shouldnt be a prob whit hes evedes to! :-p

after 5 years of playing i think i do, since most of funcoms staff is constantly shifted to other projects and the lead gamedesigner knows about ao for about half a year now... you know that funcom's *able* staff is all working on aoc since ao is kinda dead already since it lost to the competition? :P they're just milking their cash cow until everybody is gone.
My main problem is Funcom's idea of game balance is adding overpowered nanos or abilities to underpowered classes. Unfortunately the equation isn't that simple. The class remains nerfed, they're just hated now because they have an ability that shouldn't exist in the first place. It seems most changes funcom makes that positively effect game balance are done largely on accident.
Then take into account that AO is the only MMO ever made with no viable endgame, aside from that of the player made variety. (Creating content by spending a much longer time to get loot through bots than you would by yourself).
They have managed to kill tower wars, and have also created classes with no function in game other than throwing a debuff around before they die.
The only pvp (the only real endgame) is locked within ONE instance which took them almost two years to make, and it sure doesn't show. The only people left defending AO's shortcomings are people who haven't been around for long enough to recognize them all. Blizzard put's more effort into the weekly patch than Funcom has put into the majority of their "expansions"
Sorry for the essay, but in closing; no I don't think I, personally, could do a better job than Funcom, but I damn sure would try harder. Not only that but there are plenty of other companies that DO know their games better than Funcom knows AO, and those are the companies I'm going to be giving my money to, perhaps you should look into them as well.
WoW is a terrible mmo, got bored after 1 day, twinking is about who can buy the best shit for lower levels. No skill, no brains. That's why I still play AO
I don't play either anymore, but one day of experience in WoW doesn't really make your opinion on the game qualified. Endgame in WoW takes considerably more skill (Both PvP and PvM) than AO.
I've played in the WoW battleground as my budd's 70 pally, I learnt the mechanics and skills and how to do everything in less than an hour. I was killing people effortlessly after that. I'm simply saying WoW is like mmo for kids; no thought required, just endless mindless raids till you get the best shit, then you can pwn pvp. Even my level 70 buddy says that. Just curious, how long did you play WoW contrasted with AO?
