Sometimes it is very important that u communicate clearly with ppl. There was absolutely NO misunderstanding about what would happen if the person didnt drop the knife and listen to the nice officer. In a situation like that, its safer for everyone to secure everyone involved and then see what the heck is going on. (It looked like they grabbed the thief, too)
he had a knife and a beer in public lol. . . didn't look wrong or rough at all, the cop was straight up with him "do you want to die" he said that and that guy got on the ground real fast, the guy was big as wall so he used his voice instead of all three of those cops fighting with him. And fighting him could of put him and the police in danger them selfs. i think he handled great lol, it was different but great.

For all the viewers that are upset with the cops actions, what should they say to a man carrying a knife? "Sir, your under arrest but, you can bring that big ass knife into the police station with us... really... we don't mind at all."

The offender was holding a knife. A knife is a DEADLY WEAPON. He is justified in the comment's. What do you want him to say? Come charge me, then I will shoot you. Put yourself on the side of the law, where you face possible death or serious injury. Then leave a comment.
He is not justified in his comments. His commands should have been the ones he was taught and those are drop your weapon and sweeping commands. Any threat of death like this police officer said to this man is a crime and is a high class felony to commit.
Also the police officer is not allowed to remove his fire arm to combat a knife since it does not fall under the class of a spring loaded or mechanical weapon or fire arm. He is only allowed to use his pepper spray or taser if a suspect is not complying to orders.
