  • What settings did you use for the render?

  • where can i find this program?

  • Gotta put that program on my torrent list :)

  • "Hi,

I'm interested on your 3D effect

I'm looking to make a movie. I'm from Italy.

Would you be available to make a 3D effect for my movie?

    If it's possibile reply.

    Waiting for an answer,

  • @Tomkiller001

Thx for your words :) but this is really easy to setup, if you want to learn check mi videos, i have a tutorial for this kind of FX, bye :)

  • @Tomkiller001 No you didn't, stop trying to lie you fucking moron. Nobody and i mean nobody would pay 2k for a 3d model, ontop of that if anyone was that good at modeling that they were creating inredibly good models, they would know that making the basics of something like this is pretty easy, wich just shows you are a lying asswipe.

  • Amazing work, how long did this take to render ?

    Thanks for uploading : )

  • It's pretty pointless to tell people to watch it in HQ when the highest quality you can get on this video is 360p

  • @elcalvo3d

Look the date of this video, in middle of 2009 youtube was a little bit different about quality ans video size...

  • @elcalvo3d No... ROFL Videos on youtube have been able to use HD (including 720p + 1080p) since 2008. Don't beleieve me? Check around... There are vids from 2008 that are HD, one of my own was HD from 2008 but was removed due to copyright. But anyway, awesome vid!

  • @elcalvo3d Change the title then. 360p is not HQ.

  • @elcalvo3d well you can tell that the HD is from the particles not the size of the video God job :D, I like that fog

  • @elcalvo3d I'm just saying that it's pointless to say in the title of the video "Watch in HQ please!!!" when the highest resolution you can watch it in is only 360 pixels high which is not HQ.

Sure I can see the difference between 240p and 360p, I never said or implied I couldn't.

  • @elcalvo3d Oh he's a hater now because he's right. THAT makes sense...

  • @elcalvo3d difference.. standard uses 360p.. u cant go higher so..

  • @JonBj2 lol sounds like sumone needs to learn to render in 1080p =P

  • @RokSonixGaming ?

    What are you talking about...?

  • i hope that Playstation 4 comes whit this kind of grafics!

  • Here is a tutorial :)

    watch?v=7ousath2Mfs

  • Looks like what they would use for the harry potter dementors or something! :P

  • I was going to write something mean here but elcalvo3d is absolutely right. It really depends. Nowadays big studios rely very much on their 2D (compositing) department to squeeze diamonds out of renders, because rendering is expensive. I'd recommend giving a look at the book Digital Compositing for Film and Video, for example.

    Peace.

  • do a fuckign tutorial :D <3

  • So krakato > after effects? Animation is on of the things I like to do once in a while, but now after seeing this things, im thinking if I should give up after effects and try 3d max, what do you think?

  • @diegosaenz

After Effects=Motion Graphics, Composition, Simple Tracking, Color correction, FX, "simple" particles, general broadcast animation and more (is more like an "Advanced Video Editior")...

3DSMax=3D modeling, animation, render, complex particles, dynamics, some fluids, advanced FX, Games, Architecture, Design for visualization and more...

Both are used in small and BIG productions, both are used for film, your choice depends on what you want to become, 3D artist or a compositor?

  • @bublik20

Seriously? i see shadows everywhere :)

Go and see a Doctor, maybe someone can help you :)

  • @bublik20 Obvious troll is obvious.

  • so, what exactly IS krakatoa ?

does it simulate voxels ? is it a renderer ?

  • Does Krakatoa render the velocity channel for post motion blur? because it doesn't look good when you see each particle... only works for sand.

  • @spider853

Yep Sr. you're right, but this is the old krakatoa, if you use the new version you can render voxels and all this "sand like" stuff will be gone :)

  • Oh my god... tutorial coming soon!!!!! cannot wait. Thank you so much in advance

  • awesome! where to get krakatoa (sry for stupid question)?

  • Very nice n Nice color

  • surprised this doesn't have a perfect score. What goof would give this anything but five stars?

  • Thx for all your comments, if you like this video you can see a preview of the tutorial result on my channel, tutorial coming soon!!!

  • it looks like the effect from Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

  • Holy wewness

  • program name

  • Read the description :P

  • Its really awsome !! can I ask what exactly is realflow?

  • @jorge0018

No RealFlow here, only FumeFX & Krakatoa...

  • Thanks men!, its really really cool

  • @jorge0018

Realflow is a fluid simulation software, you can use Realflow to make liquids, smoke, gas, rigid bodies, soft bodies, cloth and later export to another 3D Software to add lightning, shading and cook the final render...

  • jaja perdon mi ingles es muy malo :p más bien que parte de la composición usaste realflow? por que solo veía puero fumefx

    Saludos !

  • is there any tutorial of this?

  • can you make an tutorial of how you are did this?

  • Yeahhh, just give me a few days, i'm on vacations right now, but if you need i will be happy to help you...

  • Unbelievable!

    I'm speechless!

I have just couple of questions if you don't mind:

What time did this beauty take to render? and what is your pc specification?

    I really need to know.

    Great job.

  • >Rendertime about 15 -20 seconds per frame, krakatoa it's really fast!!!

I have a intel i7 2.8 proccesor, 8GB RAM, NVidia 295, thx for your comments!!!

Just tell me your questions, if i can help you i will be happy to...

  • This is amazing! It is fast indeed :)

So, what if I am using vRay materials and lighting ?

As you know, If I use Krakatoa as renderer, all vRay stuff will not work, right ?

    Thanx.

  • Yep, you're right, krakatoa is a render engine itself and there is no way to use with another like VRay at the same time, krakatoa can't read the VRay materials and lights but you always can use matte options in krakatoa and composite later, sorry my english...

  • Sorry for duplicating my question, I didn't give attention to your name for both uploads at the moment, I thought you are two different guys , so now i look like a thick-headed XD

    thanx for your answer.

    It's just as I expected.

BTW: Is it true that they used Krakatoa in G.I.Joe movie ?

    Happy new year !

  • Happy new year too:) !!! and yep, they used krakatoa in that movie but its used in a loooooot of great productions as well, in G.I Joe they used the new krakatoa 1.5, I don't have that version yet but look incredibly powerful with a lot of new features...

  • nice...verynice

  • Make your sim using FumeFX, after that open PFlow, add a FumeFXBirth an add your FumeFX container into it, after that add a FumeFXFollow and pick your FumeFX again into it, decrease the viewport quantity multiplier to something like "1%" to prevent your system crashes, and in the birth increase the particle count to 10 millions or something like that, open Krakatoa, change the color, add some lights and thats all...sorry my bad english too, hope it can helps...

  • thank u very much! this is what i searched!i will try,but later i work this 2 days..how u simulate ink? low gravity+ high vortisity + buoyancy 0 or lower?right?

  • nice job :)

  • mola

  • hey ur video is cool too :) what emiter, forces and lights did you use ?

  • Thx, it's a FumeFX simple source emitter without too much bouyancy, vorticity is really low, it's the only force on the sim, and about lightning it's only 3 omnis, nothing special here, maybe we can change some scenes & data!!! ;)

Thx again!!! sorry my poor english...

  • hi! i ve got krakatoa and fume fx...please tell how u increase particle quantity?all these videos with ink is fume fx?how u import particles and render with materials in krakatoa,i try do use materials but krakatoa shows only black spheres(

    PLEASE ANSWER!

  • Particle quantity? just increase your birth rate, that's all, yeah the ink video is krakatoa too, but without materials, only color correct in post, please read the full description, krakatoa shows only black spheres? that's strange to me, try to put some lights and change the color of the particles, sorry but i can't figure it out, mmmmm black spheres, i think is a matter of light... sorry if i can't help you :(

  • plese tell how u do this? like this? u run fume fx - then open pflow and use as birth "krakatoa test" and somehow increase quality of rendered in fume fx bin.? thx...sorry about my bad english..

  • you need to set a material for your particles. you also need to make sure that your material is compatible with whatever renderer you are using.

vray materials work only with vray, etc

  • Just: OMG!!!
