@MrPa1310 I mestizo in colonial times meant someone who was 50/50,and most of that time the person came out looking very white like Garcilaso de la Vega and Porfirio Díaz.
Today however,Mestizo could refer to any one of caucasian and Native DNA regardless of amount.

when it comes to determining ethnicity, DNA testing is an experiment - not an exact science. Test will lump true Africans in with Moroccans. English with Italian. Hawaiians with New Zealanders - North Native Americans with Coastal Asians - It is such a broad test and will only give you a vague general description (and No, I absolutely DO NOT believe we all came from Africa). 100 years ago every scientist believed Native Americans crossed an ice bridge from Asia. They've proven that theory wrong

Humans did not cross over to Alaska along Beringia until around 15,000 years ago.
