I've heard the 13'' and 15'' MBP can't actually run the 16gb (2 x 8gb) upgrade because the 8gb RAM modules run at 1.5v and the 13'' and 15'' run at 1.35v (as opposed to the 17'' MBP that runs at 1.5v) I know this video isn't for the 16gb upgrade but can you verify wether this is true or not? Great, helpful videos. However I have a 2011 MacBook Pro and my System Profiler shows the link speed to my dvd drive connection is only 3 gigs (see: tinypic.com/r/i27y10/5), not 6 gigs as your screen grab shows. Does that mean I will only benefit from a SATA 2 SSD when I add the 2nd one? Will this be covered in the next video?

@jak3117 Not extremely, you may notice a little speed difference but you have to remember RAM is primarily for being able to run multiple applications at once and is not directly correlated to speed.

@ilovephoking actually i got like 2 day shipping and 8gb of ram for my macbook pro early 2011 for like 60 bucks....its very reliable....i had pros at cry wolf do it for me....but on crucial.com they have a tool do download so you could find the ram needed for your computer

@PLxFTW your SSD wont be able to go to its full potential unless you get the less expensive (but still expensive) sata II SSDs...read speeds on those max out at about 285MB/s i think
