Socialism has evolved into many ideals, and so there is also state socialism. I don't agree with freebies, but everyone should have a right to affordable housing, utilities, health care, and education. The rest can be left to true free markets.

@TeaBagTheTakers That may be a good ideal. But what if the socialists feel the same way about things that conservatives want to overfund, such as the military. Our constitution states to provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare and secure the blessings of liberty. I don't see how having a police state, selling arms to your competitors, and having over 700 military bases around the world does any of this. High tax rates in America were caused by war not socialism.

@TeaBagTheTakers Overfunding of the military is speculative? No way. It has cost us over 10 trillion dollars over the last 50 years. We have an arms industry that's sells our best technology to the highest bidder, and then asks for more money to development more superior weapons. That is ridiculous. We don't need to be in Germany, S Korea or Japan, nor do we need 700 overseas military bases. We also don't need Iraq or Afghanistan. We do, however, need to protect our southern border!

@TeaBagTheTakers Furthermore, neither Canada or Mexico has the capacity to invade us, and no country has a navy or air force that would enable them to invade us. When was the last time America was invaded by a military force? 1812, maybe. We are being over run and invaded by immigrants, though. We need to bring our troops home, protect our borders, and deport undesirable illegal immigrants. We might also secure our ports as well-we don't need to be overseas. It's a waste of money-big money.

@TeaBagTheTakers High tax rates are from warfare and military spending, and Reaganomics (which Bush Jr also followed) was responsible for the massive public debt over the last 30 years. Check for yourself, check the income tax rates and public debt before and after WWI, WWII and Vietnam. See for yourself. The numbers don't lie. Reagan cut tax rates from 70% to 35%, and then increased military spending 20 billion per year for 8 years. That equals a debt of 980 billion going to 2.7 trillion.

If you think Michele Bachmann is "ugly", you probably think that Anne Hathaway, Melissa Leo, Sandra Bullock, Scarlett Johansson, Amy Adams, Natalie Poertman and Charlize Theron are ugly as well. Michele is also intelligent, talented and an accomplished professional woman. Respectfully, what the fuck does that mean? The U.S. is engaged in 3 wars right now. The U.S. deals weapons to countries then completely obliterates them. The U.S. political body is full of twisted, two faced fucks bent on owning the world.
