  • Disintegration is the best album EVER!

  • YEAAAAAAAAAAHH!!

(And it has one of their immortal bass lines.) *shiver*

  • Comment removed

  • @BadMagz That's true! 'Fascination street' and 'A forest' would make ANYONE, absolutely anyone, want to learn how to play the bass!

  • Yup! "A Forest" is one of their other immortal bass lines ... and of course, there are others.

This song makes me so happy. So many layers of delicious win.

  • the cuuuuuureeeeee <3

  • its like a rainy night with a Bren gun and all my old nemeses lined up against a wall......

  • this kinda was ,,,,,the last of this act,,,,,

  • This song turned me on to the cure, before nine inch nails existed the same dark embodiment in music.

  • ОБОЖАЮ

  • ,,,NYSHK !

  • The beginning of this song is awsome, its different than on the CD,The Cure is the best Ive ever seen, unbelievable, just, the best.

  • have you heard the 'Entreat' album ? its disintegration live..this is pretty much identical on that cd. awesome

  • just listen to that bassline

  • this is the jam.. for sure

  • this song kicks ass

the cure are the best band in the world

  • AMEN BRO.

  • I Love This song, i think is the most Goth incluying A Forest.... Impresionant... I like very mucho The cure, Thanks for this video.

  • i love this tune, thanks!

  • Just so everyone knows, I know he said in Trilogy that this song reminds him of New Orleans/Bourbon Street 1987....I have always thought the lyrics describe the most sexy felatio ever!!! Read the lyrics once more and imagine...you'll see. And it may still be New Orleans, have you ever been to Bourbon Street? Very well might get you some felatio! hahaha The Cure is soooo sexy. Always my favorite.

  • Deep!!! underground! Hijuputa!!!

  • it's a really good song. But if you like metal you have to listen chimaira's cover of this song. It's a really awesome metal interpretation!

  • Rob has a beautiful hands, all him is beautiful :)

  • if you don't respect the solo in the intro of the album version or the mid way point you just don't know rock. the base line was kick ass and this song is under-rated.classic 80s sound that holds true to this day. master of puppets status. this shit stays pumpin in my ipod everyday no joke. just get on a train in nyc and put this on on and watch how many girls you will scoop. original version rocks but honestly video cut the good solos. time won't give me time i guess for timeless music

  • The bass line is pure fucking orgasm...It's like...Lighting a clove before the sunset in october. It's a dead kind of beautiful.

  • fuckno PORNOGRAPHY Is a MASTERPIECE DISINTEGRATION has alot of GROUNDBREAKING TUNES BUT PORNORGRAPHY Is the CREAM OF THE CURE

  • amazing

  • ...

  • Robert Smith will not only be remember for his amazing music with The Cure, but for beating the shit out of Mecha Streisand easily and being the coolest person who ever lived.

  • nice one

  • in love/life facinating life this plank life line to cling too

  • i like this song in rainy days like this...

  • I need to learn to play this on guitar. Such a great song...

  • S.U.P.E.R.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this song rocks the cure is the king , and I like depeche mode but sorry this is MUSIC

  • love this song

  • the Cure's last substantial album

  • Absolutely correct !!!

  • Wrong. Their last great album was Wish. The Cure were at their creative nadir from Head on the Door to Wish. What followed were a lot of compilation and live albums, representative of their laziness/desire to cash in...

  • What about Wish and Bloodflowers? Disintegration is their masterpiece, anyway.

  • talented band who have managed to stick together and consecutively pump out all those albums all these years...bottoms up to the cure!

  • Ive probably already said Thanks, but god bless you rhubarbcream.... Awesome post

  • great song

  • Disintegration is a masterpiece.

  • An absolute flawless album.

  • really great youtube left the audio of this clip :)

  • why would they not?

  • sem sombra de duvida, a melhor musica do THE CURE

  • what a song. wen i first lisiond to the cure i was spoiled because the first songs i heard were on the extended versions

  • Wonderful song.

  • This is for jumping robot, Who the hell are you to say that i am a racist of music! You don't even know me ,and where did i say anything in my comment that would make you think that? I love all kinds of music too. From classical to jazz and even big band and swing, so you really should think before you write someone a comment!!! Fool!!

  • i actually remember buying this single on cassette tape when it came out...i had a major crush on mr smith and i guess i always will

  • Robert is the 8th wonder of the world.

-aren't the Hanging Gardens of Babylon one of the seven ancient wonders? or they were? perhaps a silly observation but a funny coincidence. If you're not a fan of The Cure you won't have a clue what the connection is

  • I have never really listened to the cure much, then I heard this bass line and had to learn it yesturday. Great song!

  • I Love this version !

  • The original is the best, of course.

  • gosh, i love this song so much.

  • reaallyyyyy the best groupe in the world..Robert is such a wonderful, perfect singer

  • it's just the best groupe of the world maybe with some other ....

  • 80th band are always the best !

  • Best. Intro. Ever.

I probably commented on that sick ass bass line but I really don't care. I <3 The Cure always and 4ever.

  • i love this fucking song, it's the shit.

  • I LOVE the way Robert sings.

  • Poca madre esta rola, fue la primera que escuche de la Cura, en un antro

    Arribaaa The Cureeeeee

  • An exceptional band! I'm in love with their music <3

  • Baaaaaaad Assss group......this song shows just how bad ass this group is.

  • shut up you'll never understand cure so don't make a mistake just shut up

  • Bad ass ....is a slang word for real good, great, fantastic.....i have most of their albums and i've seen them live in concert twice....i love the Cure they are one of the greatest bands of all time...

  • I will always love this song. Great bass, just like in 'other voices'...

  • I LOVE the bass at the beginning of this song! :)

  • I love this song!! Brings me back to the past!! This song will never get old and die!! The Cure rocks!!!

  • This Facination Street Song was In my Days the Song to play at my car... crusing mi little pueblito... Good Song. Most The Ciure songs are Good.

  • This is one of my fav Cure songs....there is just something about it.

  • Love the signature pounding bass.

  • I've been learning this bassline, its fun as hell but hard to keep up.

  • SIMON GALLUP IS A TRUE BADASS!!!!

  • Funny thing is that the bass line is actually super simple to play but its often the simple bass/guitar lines that sound the best.

  • this is true

  • This song is incredible! Bassline is perfect! A song I love to piss drivers off next to me who are playing 'shitty rap' ...during the summer, when my convertible top is down in my sports car.

At a red light, I look at 'the gangsta's" next to me, crank up my Cure ...and smile. "listen to that epic song a-hole! The Cure & RS is God!"

I discovered the Cure late 1998 when I was in college...it was mindblowing experience...hooked since!

Fuck the crap of today! The Cure rules!

  • I discovered The Cure after I was at a Joy Division show in London in 1979. The Cure played the next night.

Joy Division and Ian Curtis were professional and the music captivating. The Cure was dark as well, but magical.

  • I so totally agree with you .Fuck the rap shit...I can't stand it..The Cure rules..Let the other drivers get pissed off!!! LOL..

  • Dont be so ignorant! I love music... I love The Cure, i love Tom Waits, Joy Division , Beethoven, Wu tang Clan, Tekno, Drum n BAss, Current 93, Aphex Twin, Autechre, Mozart, Sugar Hill Gang,

I love GOOD MUSIC,, aLL THE GOOD MUSIC that make my soul vibrating... you are just a racist of music!

  • That statement is tantamount to saying that people who do not like Barbara Streisand or showtunes hate homosexuals. Or if you dont like country music, you do not like southerners. You might want to check your statistics as well, Russell Simmons states the largest demographic of people buying rap music today is white middle class kids 15-25 yrs of age. Furthermore, the percentage of African Americans and Latinos that listen to rap music is less than 25%.

  • HigherLove70 4 1 I said nothing of the sort of ur anthology u came up with the bottom line 4 u or any1 that reads this again most who say they don't like rap don't like people of color and check ur stats I said 99% of the " RAPPERS " r of color not who buys the music I listen 2 all kinds of music and again those who say that they don't like rap don't like people of color also 25% of Blacks and Latinos listen 2 rap less than other music put down the pipe that sound insane!!!!

  • the bass is superbly sick on the this song and all the others

  • amazing bassline

  • I'm high in this moment and listen this song that makes me want to stay high all the time,

    The Bass sounds AWESOME!.

    Happy 50th Anniversary Robert Smith.

  • i almost had an orgasm during his concert here in mexico xD

    I SAID ALMOST! :P

  • The bass line is fucking awesoe and so is this song!!

I fucking love you The Cure<333

  • Agreed....great bass line!!!!!!

  • Why the fuck is that bass line so good? What an epic song.

  • bliss

  • One of the great songs! I can't believe the people that like "Shake It" by Metro Station actually think that's a good song. It's so fucking gay. This (The Cure) is the real shit!

  • i like both. You're fucking gay. People don't just have to listen to one kind of music or wear one kind of clothes. every single person is diffrent and you should respect that.

  • I would usually agree with you, but metro station is just... ugh...

  • i agree and i dont even like metro station

  • yea you totally just said the right thing, but it still doenst mean shit because you like Metro Station. only real musicians garner respect, not industry puppet bitches

  • This was the first song I had ever heard from The Cure but really hadn't caught on until Love Song, then realized how awesome this song really is.

  • Sentite che suono...

grandi Cure...molti hanno provato ad imitarli...miseramente.

    Quella era musica...

  • what an awsome band of all times

  • frackin awesome!

  • hahahaha battlestar :)

  • if my ears could cum because of how fucking amazing sound was, i would listen to this song even more than i already do

  • oooohhh amoo esa cancion :D

  • chingoneria de cancion!

one of the best songs of the cure...

    c:

    no doubt!

  • I enjoy around the 3:23 mark the guitarist or bassist, suddenly forced to stop playing his instrument, and quick use his hands to secure his wide flat brimmed hat about to be blown off from the wind machines.

  • Got to love the 80s! I think I see some shoulder pads in the video as well!

  • one of their best songs ever! awesome in concert, too!!

  • oy, the bass is AMAZING!!!

  • oh my god....it's gorgeous!!!!...and so sexy....

  • reminds me of a time when I was able to have all night sex.

  • TMI!!!

  • They are amazing!!!!! And this is a great song!!

  • Mmmm... Sexy! :D

  • A masterpiece!

  • The bass at the beginning is so freaking awesome

  • For all the Curistas out there...

    Lipstick... Musicianship... Potatoes...

  • this is one of the greastest songs ever written from one of the greatest albums ever produced from one of the greatest musical artists of all time.

im surprised that the cure havent become as big as u2. they are 2 of the greatest groups ever.

  • boo on u2, the cure have been miles ahead of u2 for 30 years, 30 years! Their never guna fall behind...

  • this music make me crazy every time i hear it!!!

  • please explain how the lyrics are about anal sex. I can picture oral but not anal.

  • I am a huge Cure fan and it is a great song, but all of you need to know that this song is about anal sex...listen to the words...

  • That news just made the song even better.

  • no!

    SMOKE1

    de te gekke gast!!!

  • sounds more like oral sex to me

  • There's the greatest bass guitar sound ever.

  • Back in the 80's I was a complete metalhead (still am) and when I was 14 one of my best friends was going through my tape collection and he came across the Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me cassette and since then I've been "out of the closet", so to speak, as far as totally and completely diggin The Cure.

I don't care who knows it. The Cure is one of the greatest bands ever.

  • hey man its cool, I dig some of the Cure's stuff too.. and if you look at my channel I favored a bunch of heavy metal videos.. from metallica(old) to morbid angel to helloween to armored saint.. etc.

check this out.. if you watch the Megadeth interview from "The Decline of Western Civilization, Jeff young is wearing a shirt with robert smith on it.

regardless of what genre of music youre into, you can like whatever you want.

  • Great song indeed, reminds me of younger years and better music.

  • love the bass, simon gallup kicks ass

  • One of my fav songs from 1989!!I haven't heard this in so long!!Thanks for posting!!

  • kick ass fight song for a movie!!!

  • These guys had a sound like no other!

  • Wow great song!!!!

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • I can't get enough of The Cure, Robert Smith is the most brilliant, original musician...not to mention gorgeous!!! =P

  • Behind Charlotte Sometimes, this has always been my favorite Cure song.

  • Charlotte Sometimes is a great song

  • best cure song

  • I've listened to the cure since 1984, and from day 1 till now I love them to death (Robert Smith is a total cutiepants) :P

  • I think the Cure are Dark... But not Goth... Goth music is different...

  • Agreed. The closest they really got was probably the Pornography album.

To me, real goth is a sort of dark punk. See: Bauhaus and Southern Death Cult.

There were also some dark synth-poppy goth bands I can't remember right now...Alien Sex Fiend? Yeah...

  • bad goth music is different. :P

    Cure are true.

  • I simply love this song. It makes me feel so good!

  • Vuelo con esta cancion...

Y con cualquier cancion de The Cure.

  • I think the Cure are Dark... But not Goth... Goth music is different...

  • oh for goths sake!!!!! the cure are the epitomy of goth....good lord...dob 12/20/1968 you mother#$*&%^S are so young you don't even Know what goth is and it sure as hell ain't that band death cab for cutie or anything else......

  • you spelt epitome wrong..

  • yeah i find it hard to categorize a band with a song like "mint car" and then something like "one hundred years."

    pop goth maybe? :P

    ha ha...

  • I love the cure!!! They are so cool!

  • they are the cure, who gives a fuck what genre they are honestly, they're amazing period.

    end of story.

  • my favourite song!

  • awesome song! awesome band! awesome robert!

    yayyyy

  • I think that the goth tag depends on the era and album. 17 Seconds through Pornography are, in my humble opinion, goth. On the other hand, no goth band would do something so ballsy as name an album Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me. Some are up in the air like Dissintegration. The whole image though, is kind of goth iconic though.

  • The Cure is not goth, I'm sorry their image may look goth but if you really get into The Cure, listen to all of their lyrics and the style of their music they are literally a genre all their own.

  • i agree in some aspects but they do have the dark indie feel mixed with pop it is bizarre but can be defined :/

  • I am Really into The Cure. Like I said only some of their stuff is "goth". Alot of it isn't-what goth band writes Lovecats? Read the comment better next time.

  • no its not, robert smith despises being called goth, or having his music lumped into goth. just because Pornography, Disintegration and Bloodflowers were all pretty sad albums, does not make them goth.

  • the cure is not goth by the way.

  • it is.

  • Eff yes! I love this song.

  • i haved my first sex by this song

  • Fanstastic!!!!!!!!!!! i love the cure!!! :)

  • Love's Robert !!!

  • New Orleans freak street. I'm wonder what the song would be like if he went into more detail about the experience. there. Oh well, cut the conversation. Cheers!

  • my favorite goth band of all time

  • This is good olf fashioned Goth Rock

Shame no-one makes music like this anymore!

  • Great band of 80's love the memories

  • The Cure - Disintegration best album of all time.

  • Pornography !
