Take a semtex, throw it over a building. The enemy will hear *beep* and then they die, no fight, no run, no nothing, they're fucking dead. I hate semtex because it's a cheap waste of space. That being said, where are my friends usin the throwing knife at?

Frags are meant to have more power. Semtex is just concusive blast, known since it is made of Semtex plastic explosive. But a frag is a fragmentation grenade, meaning you have razor sharp pieces of metal moving almost as fast a bullet going at you.

what i like to do is, if there are 2 paths in front and 1 behind, and i need to push up cause im in danger, i use frag and dont cook it, this means 1 of the pathways in front, an enemy may quickly run away from the indicator giving me enough time to look down the other path and check, and go to last pathway where frag blows up, which i can quickly jump and crawl invisible behind the temporary smoke, which i then open fire upon, marksman helps as well, think of this as the hardhat map at tunnel

nade can make you lose damage, like run away like a boss and continue to pwn. semtex is like when the semtex sign is there you are Dead. its cooler to cook and nade a camper than just press a button. semtex is best but i like nade. period :)

I could never get good enough with the semtex, all the little things I do with frags don't work with semtex. I can absolutely chuck frags farther and higher because of the longer timer, I almost throw them vertical at times. I like that they don't stick because I use bank-shots to my advantage all the time, and once you get the timing down you can pop them right on target. However I do wish you could re-pin a frag. Can anyone tell me why enemy semtexs only beep sometimes/sound like frag drops?

Why I like the frag:

You can cook the frag and blow people up with no chance to run.

It rolls

It's heatseeking (it rolls slightly toward enemies)

You can throw longer without them blowing up

You place it in a high traffic area and you get a free kill, the grenades take skill to use in positioning and cooking times. These are the reasons why i think semtex is better than frag.

1. You can not throw back a semtex.

2. You can cancel a semtex by pressing (Y) / (Triangle)

3. Quicker to throw effectively (-3sec) (you need to wait about

2-3 seconds to prevent the enemy from dodging or throwing back a frag).

4. Its cooler if you can get a semtex to stick to a player.

5. Frags can sometimes 'roll' downhill rather than sticking to a target on

the ground/wall.

2) Yeah, that is an advantage but when I start throwing a nade, I know what I want to hit and will commit to it. I have no need to switch weapons.

3) The enemy does have nade indicators they can easily get out of the way of a semtex. Properly cooked frags are unavoidable.

i love the frag roll because its more random and i think its better to up your chances of getting a kill plus the semtex has a flashing light that gives away its position and the tagets could see and run away but if theres a frag in a room they wouldnt even know it if not for the grenade marker

I'd choose semtex over frag for several reasons :

1. as you said u have to cook it to make it explode fast, while u cooking nade, u are defenseless...

2. if u didnt cook a nade, enemy can throw back at u.

3. if u throw semtex On someone, it will stick on them and will certainly kill them
