My Iraqi roommate went to a top high school in Baghdad, but not BC. He got out just before the Iran war in 1980, when he was 18. He says Baghdad College was great, and even Saddam's sons went there. He says it was simple politics that closed it, because of the war. National Public Radio had an interview with someone who said BC closing was tragic to anyone who ever knew the place. Muslims said BC let them be better muslims. Seems sad but there are several similar great jesuit schools .

i never have experinced the good times of iraq, born and the only things i saw was war. My parents told me tales about bagdad in her ayaam el gheir! Inshallah will bagdad return.
