You want to shift look elsewhere get another sports car or buy one of those rice buckets...Mercedes is built for comfort and speed. MOst mercedes are automatic. Its all about comfort and technology.
some do come in manual..but why put a cheap gearbox in there when you can throw in an innovative one that shows the modern technology.
I was at the 2008 LAAS. That car was awesome, but some of the GLKs in the Mercedes aection were so ugly. Like the custom convertible one, and the racing one
this car is a 2 seater. that means 1 passenger. the CL is a 2+2 that means up to 4 passengers. please learn math. this car has no room for family or friends. it isnt that much faster than a CL65. and it certainly is not cheaper.

Not quite. They are two different setups. When a car has a biturbo, it means it has a turbo for each bank of cylinders, and they are located on opposite ends of the motor. However, in a car like the Toyota Supra MKIV, that car is a twin turbo because it is an inline 6 motor, and the turbos are located next to each other. One feeds off the other (there is a smaller turbo that spools up to create less turbo lag, at which point a larger turbo kicks in for the higher boost).

This SL65 is extremely tacky in many ways. Its `way too load and nothing is really simplified on this car. Too load and looking for attention.The interior is again nothing special with a non inviting feel to it. You cant compare and audi interior to a Merc .I would take a murcialago or a R8 v10 over this anyday compared to price. I would take a RS4 instead of this bucket and buy something else with the money. I actually would never own a Merc..... EVER!!!!

exclusivity plays a role too, like you said. BUT, come on. a gallardo LP560-4 is better looking, almost as fast if not faster (yet to see accurate merc numbers from a trusted source), exclusive enough, has a better overall reputation (to most, that SL65 is "just another merc") and is like 80 k cheaper. where comes teh M3 as a daily driver cuz you wouldn't really wanna take such a rare car EVERYWHERE.
amg states this car does 0-60 in 3.6 seconds and 0-200km in 11 flat. in inside line they said that amg said that the car can run less than 7:46 around the ring. so in the performance area, this definitly has it.
as far as looks go that is pretty much everybodys own opinion, iam just saying i see gallardos all the time and to me they dont look that amazing, the murciealgo looks better, and in my opinion this SL black series looks incredible, like a sl modified for racing.
reputation in what? it has to be in performance because lambo doesnt offer much of luxury options, but if thats what you mean then you probaly dont know about Mercedes' success in DTM, FIA GT Championship and Formula One.

Both you guys don't know a thing. Regardless of how exotic a car is you cannot compare the looks of a front engine to a mid/rear engine car. THEY ARE BOTH STYLED DIFFERENTLY.
Comparing the SL 65 Black Series to a 599 GTB Fiorano or perhaps the Maserati Gran Turismo would have been a more logical argument, for both of you.
The LP560-4 can be compared based on looks to the Audi R8, 430 Scuderia or Carrera 911's.

my dad has a SL55 AMG and went to the AMG event down in Florida and drove this car (SL65 AMG black)...he said it wasnt much of a differnce besides .5 seconds on the track. His car was half the price and its a V8 with better gas mileage. I cant beleive they would make a bi turbo V12 with the same amount of power as their supercharged V8's...dosnt make any sense...

i read somewhere that this car is running in the ring around 7:46, oh last time i checked, performance and looks were the only factors that really mattered the most, wat other factors could there possible be? Price? come on its like just as fast if not faster than a half mil slr, think about also there is only going to be 350 in the world. how many gallardos and m3s do we see everyday, i myself rarely turned my head anymore when a gallardo or m3 drives by. rarity is another.

im not one who really cares about price, but in THAT car's case i would.
exclusivity plays a role too, like you said. BUT, come on. a gallardo LP560-4 is better looking, almost as fast if not faster (yet to see accurate merc numbers from a trusted source), exclusive enough, has a better overall reputation (to most, that SL65 is "just another merc") and is like 80 k cheaper. where comes teh M3 as a daily driver cuz you wouldn't really wanna take such a rare car EVERYWHERE.

amg states this car does 0-60 in 3.6 seconds and 0-200km in 11 flat. in inside line they said that amg said that the car can run less than 7:46 around the ring. so in the performance area, this definitly has it.
as far as looks go that is pretty much everybodys own opinion, iam just saying i see gallardos all the time and to me they dont look that amazing, the murciealgo looks better, and in my opinion this SL black series looks incredible, like a sl modified for racing.

the LP560 does it in 3.7 . performance shouldn't be taken that much under consideration unless you have access to race tracks.

reputation in what? it has to be in performance because lambo doesnt offer much of luxury options, but if thats what you mean then you probaly dont know about Mercedes' success in DTM, FIA GT Championship and Formula One.

I know wat your saying and its true, if you drive around in a gallardo you are guaranteed to turn more heads just cus its a lambo, if u driving around in a sl65blackseries u probaly wont turn as much just cus the majority of ppl dont even know wat wtf it is. Both you guys don't know a thing. Regardless of how exotic a car is you cannot compare the looks of a front engine to a mid/rear engine car. THEY ARE BOTH STYLED DIFFERENTLY.
Comparing the SL 65 Black Series to a 599 GTB Fiorano or perhaps the Maserati Gran Turismo would have been a more logical argument, for both of you.
The LP560-4 can be compared based on looks to the Audi R8, 430 Scuderia or Carrera 911's.

The LP560-4 cost about $95,000 less, so you are wrong they are not in the same price range. The cost of a single SL65 Black would cost you an LP560 and an M5.
Head turning is a factor but for you it sounded like it was the only factor. Then again to each his own, so don't know why I bothered on that one. Do as you wish, who am I complain.
You don't know the difference between front mounted engine vs rear/mid mounted engine like the R8, Scuderia etc???

Zr1 is for straight line, mercedes means style, and looks where as Zr1 is made of some plastic body thatswhy its cheap, and don't forget we need performance not speed and german cars are all about performance:)

my dad has a SL55 AMG and went to the AMG event down in Florida and drove this car (SL65 AMG black)...he said it wasnt much of a differnce besides .5 seconds on the track. His car was half the price and its a V8 with better gas mileage. I cant beleive they would make a bi turbo V12 with the same amount of power as their supercharged V8's...dosnt make any sense...
