No your right, looking at him it looks like he was out of time with the rest of the boat...like he was a little excited at the beginning of the race. Might just be the video quality or something though. I also think that he was breaking his arms on the drive way before the rest of the boat, which makes him seem off tempo when in reality he is driving with the whole boat, he is just ineffectively applying his power.
Bow seat also looks like he not only was breaking his arms early but also opening up his body early too. Again, with the two other boats in the background it is deceiving, but you are right he is off I think. Good eye.
Is it just me or did that Harvard bow seat kind of...mess up a bit for the first 100m or so?
