I haven't been to the Verizon Center in like forever... Last Sunday we went to Madison Square Garden for the Caps/Rags game and I got it into my mind that the Rags fans were loud. Thank God I found some positive reinforcement to remind that, alas, the Verizon Center is louder. Don't believe me? Look at this video. NHL players wouldnt make nearly as much money as they make now if the game was only in Canada. My hometown city in Michigan was voted number 37 out of 50 cities in North America to be one of the best place to play hockey in.

It's good that there's all these fans because it's great for the team, but personally I HATE the bandwagon fans. But those are the consequences of supporting a team that finally has a shot at the Cup, so we'll all just have to deal with it.

@iEquitate yea i do care to explain. just look at the caps attendance in the 05-06, 06-07, and the first half of the 07-08 seasons and years before that ur stadium couldnt get filled even close to capacity and do even fuckin deny it when the caps started getting good in the second half of 07-08 thats when the fans started coming and been there since but its ok...EVERYONE LIKES A WINNER I GUESS....but that hasnt been the case for ur franchise ever

@DCsportsTalk I know this is late but, Everyone else in the hockey world laughs about how 75% of caps fans are bandwagoners. Also that series was in 2008 and we won but its nice to know that you true fans care enough to remember stuff like that. Also were not talking about the phillies and sixers were talking about the Flyers and the Flyers attendance was still superb even when we finished last in 2006-07, in fact it was better then the caps according to espn.com

@dakotaroo I know how it is, doesn't really bother me because I'm not blind, I know how fake some of our fans are, it actually irritates me. Knowing I've been a fan my entire life, yet now have to share with people who just jumped on. However it is an insult to the 13K who always showed.
I could careless about Philly sports, I was just making a connection, the Phillies and 76ers are a perfect reflection of the Capitals pre and post good records. Fans like winners, that's in any city.
