  • Hi Kaori,

    This is really good!

    Thanks

    jc

  • What a comfort!

  • This is a good interpretation...but there are other musician like David Russell, for exemple...who plays this work fantastic. Congratulation Kaori

  • @olallavayavaya She' on par with David man. As much as I love them both. Sound quality is just jinxing her.

  • ぼくの好みとしては、もう少しテンポを落として”間”をとってほしいかな。弾き急いでいる感。

  • This was the first interpretation i heard of the black decameron, i'm so glad it was from her. And yeah, the tunning is due to that vhs problem were sound goes like that.

  • too bad the recording is off. this woman can play. her interpretation is powerful and esquisite.

  • Why does my guitar always go out of tune? Then again, why can't I play even half as good? I feel like giving my guitar away...

  • my nylon classical guitar goes out of tune every day as the temperature fluctuates, its only the 3 nylon strings that do it, maybe thats your problem?

  • keep on tryin' men!!!

  • man tuning a guitar is like meditation. try to really take time(15minutes if u like) and reallly focus on sound. let me know.

  • complimenti

  • Hi Girl,

Great ! you have a strong personality . Brlliant performance! Impressive technique! Loved it. Bravo!!

  • i am in awe of this performance - in fact of the whole series of 3. what an absolutely brilliant performance! Bravo, Kaori

  • My friend this is a live performance not a music video

  • It's really too bad the sound and image quality are so bad. What a waste of a brilliant performance.

  • This is still really good, I like the sub-par recording sounds--they sound more aggressive

  • Actually she's playing exactly what's written, and very well at that. But the awful audio quality does dot do her justice.

  • She does have a indivtual style and some musianship in her playering.Plus a nice tone.Listenin to her other clips think the recordin is bad in this one!!Was wondering if anyone knows why she wearing the arm supports coz ive had problems wit golfers elbow does wearin them help?

  • I'm not sure if it helps with elbow troubles, but I do know that some people wear a sleeve over their arm to keep sweat and scratches off of the body of the guitar.

  • and also the arm slides better over the body of the guitar and does not irritate the skin

  • new music to me...i enjoyed it mucho ..bravo

  • bloody wobbly video tape aye! sounds like shes doing some steve vai subtle whammy tricks!!

  • Decameron is a Bocaccio`s books (1351) 100 shorts tales. Brouwer named this suite Black Decameron, inspired in this book, but in african way. Thats the reason for Black. Sorry about my english.

  • anyone know the name of the song and the composer?, i search Decameron, but no idea what it means.

  • The name is 'El decamerón negro' I don´t know how to translate decamerón, but is 'the black decameron'. The composer is Leo Brower (cuban)

The 3 parts of it are:

    1. 'El arpa del guerrero' (the warrior's harp)

    2. 'La huída de los amantes por el valle de los ecos' (Lover's run across the Echoes's vally)

    3. 'La balada de la doncella enamorada' (The enamored virgin's ballad)

    Hope it works for you

  • what part of "el decamerón negro" appears here?

    thanks for you response

  • The thirth part: 'La balada de la doncella enamorada'

  • Armchair critics. How easy it is to criticise music and the arts.

THE TUNING deficiency is due to a poor copy being uploaded to the internet.

Her technique and intermpretation are flawless. I am sure not one of you were at the performance. I was. You are all absurd. Ciao.

  • THANK YOU for this.

  • @1Enkidu To add to this: Come on! It's freaking Kaori Muraji! She does not make mistakes!

  • bis repetita

  • To judge her playing, you must at first place hear the original music.

  • Anyone with some agility can play this. Atention: you can´t just see how good someone is, the most important thing is the interpretation!!! And it is horrible here because she totally changed the music!!!

  • You are fantastic woman!

For those who are not satisfied; think what she's able to play, if she can control her fingers over this..??!!!

  • many many many people can "control there fingers over this" but only a fraction are famous. Its not just the fact that she can play it that makes her famous.

  • First let me say that I LOVE Muraji's playing. But here, her playing, though flawless technically, has room for more expressive reflection. Much of the playing sounds wooden and stilted. By FAR the most expressive performance EVER is a little-known recording by Ricardo Cobo of about 14-15 years ago. Muraji is magnificent and she deserves to go far, in a guitar world filled with phonies. Brouwer has his VERY expressive moments. Many were missed here.

  • Fantastico

  • Poor Brouwer, hope he doesn´t see this video.

  • THIS INTERPRETATION IS HORRIBLE. Get yourselves the real music to see the difference. She keeps going half tone behind. HORRIBLE. It looks like she only wants to show herself.

  • What is so bad in showing/revealing your individuality ?

  • aishiteru kaori muraji *mwah* *hug* ^_^

  • Five stars. Music to my ears and that is what counts. Bravo to the contemporary composer Leo Brower (born in Cuba) and to the guitarist, Kaori Muraji. This is the first time I have heard this composition played. So, thank you for posting this on YouTube.

  • sounds like the video tape wobbling

  • good playing! :D

  • no se la interprete, pero te puedo decir que, por las letras que aparecen, no es japones...

    si no coreano..

  • Kaori Muraji es una de las guitarrists más populares y talentosos de Japón.

  • Very good but the sound isn't great...

  • GOOOD SAUND..

  • Kaori Muraji make a very outstanding performance, thecnically over all. But the melody on the second part -at my opinion- are in background, lost by the doble string tremolo.

  • Audio and video out of synch. Low E is flat. Technically good. Nice work. What happened in bar 32? Nice guitar.

  • Muy buena y se oye muy bien...

  • Master Work and Great Job...

    Thanx...

  • beautiful music- and very veru (and another very) well played. ace!

  • I think that she´s Kaori Muraji

  • she IS Kaori Muraji.

  • I love it "ballada della doncella en aorada", Leo Browers Decameron Negro!

I´m still trying to play it, but after 3 month I can play only the first part. But that´s so great! And if you knwo the story behind this song, it´s fantatstic.

Watch my vids, too, i performed "Un die de noviembre" and Lobos Prelude 1

    Thank you
