This is absolutely one of my all-times favorite series, but I think there wasn't enough fighting. No, I don't want it to be all about fighting, but a single 2 minute fight per 50 minutes just isn't not enough.

Some reviewers give this show a low rating as they say it is mostly talk than fight. But, that's the amazing thing about this anime. The talks support the story and the fight. Though short, the fights are better than the one that last many episodes. Also, everyone has colorful personalities, especially the ninjas. Now, this is how ninjas should act, and that ninja techniques aren't so exaggerated as in the anime Naruto. The ending is awesome! So watch it! 10/10 for a picky person like me.

@AsphodelsAce naruto is good i agree, the manga anyway as i gave up the anime due to the amount of boring fillers! but this anime (katanagatari) is great and should not be missed!

@AsphodelsAce Yes in my opinion Naruto and Naruto Shippuden are my Favorite anime, the setting and plot are brilliant, its just people tend to hate animes that drag on, especially with all the fillers in Naruto.

the only thing i don't like about this is that the episodes come out monthly, so it will end around Christmas because the 11th episode came out yesterday.

It seems that it was a request from the author. Since the novel also comes out monthly, he wants the audience to hold the same expectation for the anime. Actually it would be more hassle for TV station to do monthly release instead of the standard weekly schedule, but this author has the fame to get his way.

LOL, this series is about 100 times greater than Naruto or any of the other shounen fighting series. The dialogue is awesome and the humor is subtle or/and overblown on purpose. One of the best series at the moment in fact.

This is rather Adventure than Fighting Shounen, fights are shorter than 5 min each =p

Oh, and don't mention scum like "Naruto" in such a great anime, thx =3

it is epic but don't be so quick to scoff other series by comparing them to it. Katanagatari is something unique of its own right. :)

Well, it actually isn't. The genres are different and theres more drama.

The fights doesn't last too long either and its pretty smooth for its story.
