This is very nice.... i am planning to make a DIY LED lighting for my planted aquarium.... hope it goes well... but how much was the cost of all the materials on one of those LED blue lighted lights?
im thinking of building one for my 125 gallon tank which is 6 feed long. im planning on buying from ledz.com... it seems pretty cheap but i want to get 32 5 watt white leds and put 8 every 2 feet. then i want to get blue ones that are half a watt and put them on a dimmable driver. please tell me what you think or any recommendations.
@kcomkid I hung them about a foot above tank because I will be using a hanger system over my tank and want clearance for feeding ,mant, and cleaning. That is whats good about LED do not have to be 4 inches over the water to have good PAR in tank
I can't wait to see how the rest of this comes out. If you have time, it would be great to see how you built the rig, where you got the supplies and how you wired it up.
One more light box would be perfect
