just discovered phenom patti and love that she did ray davies (kinks) SUPERMAN at les mouche -- does she do any other of ray's songs? What strikes me about both Ray and Patti is that their highs are so high, and no two performances are the same. Contrast this Rainbow High with one on merv griffith. And I love her little girl act, after all the growls -- suit and curtsy included. She would be easy to fall in love with. And a night with her when she was on would be as good as it gets. Eh Kevin?

I saw Patti in concert around 1981. She ,of course did Rainbow High -and very much like this. I doubt that she was coked out-either then or in this recording.Too much a pro.

The main difference between her and Madonna is... You can tell that Eva Peron's ruthless in Patti's portrayal. In Madonna's voice, she just seems too kind and nice. I don't buy that Eva is a 'Nazi bitch' in the movie.

Evita on Broadway had no Sunday performance. Terri Klausner was the first alternate (Wed and Sat matinees) and then Nancy Opel covered the role for years. Not sure if there were others...
