bret hart was still the 1st wrestler to get physical with vince mcmahon.....when he pushed him after his cage match...that shit was pretty badass....this was just as rad but something about the way bret pushed and ranted and complained was the realest thing ever....side note.....anyone think the screwjob was fake whne looking back on certain things
That Stunner Lead to Create The Best Era of all Time damn the firts stunned heard all around the world Thank you Stone Cold For this momment you are certianlly the Icon, Best, Legend, of all time you created the attitude Era I wish he had this Era Again Austin 3:16 sayz I jsut whopped the PG ERAS ass and thats the bottom line cuz Stone Cold Said So lives on forever
@Johnnywad89: Vince McMahon was also pushing 50 at the time. Now he is 65, he knows he is way too old to take bumps like the ones he was able to take 5, 10, or 15 years ago.
It really was heard around the world,. He stunned the owner of the company. Noone thought something like that could happen. It was shocking. It was wild. It was the greatest thing ever.
yeah it show did heard around the world but it was back in 1997 when this happen i was just turned channels until i saw stone cold say vince (you can kiss my ass) and stunner him since then i didnt know who stone cold or vince was at that time when that happem i became stone cold steve austin biggest fan i never stop watching WWF cause i know something good was going to come out with vince and stone cold.
Hmm. Maybe all the Stunners Vince received over the years are starting to affect his thinking and that's why the WWE is the way it is nowadays. And yes I am just joking.
yeah but him being a prick is what made him famous thats what was good about him he never cared about the fans cheering for him as long as he was doing what he loved the fact that the fans cheered for him was there choice not his hahhahaha me 1 you zero
yeah but him being a prick is what made him famous thats what was good about him he never cared about the fans cheering for him as long as he was doing what he loved the fact that the fans cheered for him was there choice not his hahhahaha me 1 you zero
This angle has not aged well at all. If Vince had chosen his words more carefully it would have come across better. But when he says that the fans care about Austin and then Austin stunning McMahon it just makes Austin look like a prick.
@CombatSportFan Austin was a prick. He was suppose to be a prick. The fact that he was a prick and only cared about himself was what made him an anti-hero. This is the same guy that stunned a referee for trying to help him after he lost the Wrestlemania match to Bret. Stone Cold wasn't suppose to be a "good guy". This angle has aged perfectly.
Of course 24/7 would cut out certain parts on McMahon 1st stunner. At 3:12, Stone Cold gives a "rapid fire" middle fingers at Vince after being stunned. I remember this like yesterday. September 22, 1997, @ MSG. Classic Momment
oh 1 more thing, did any ever notice at No Way Out when Austin Stunned Bishoff, Did you notice the 3rd stunner looked so painfull lol he yanked Bishoff down to the matt lol
On "inside wwe" stone cold says he stunned Vince 63 times in 3 years lol, Shane Mcmahon knows how to take a stunner lol When he returned after he was run down and stunned Shane 5 times "Shane Flew" lol The Rock always sold it to much, One time he stuuned Mick Foley when he was Commish and Foleys mouth went down on Stone Colds Chain and pushed what teeth he has back further than normal......
This was so dam epic I remember this like it was yesterday when he was on a stunner rampage started with J.R.,The King, Sgt. Slaughter,Then Vince McMahon and vkm was looking like he was having a seizure not 2 mention the first arrest of the attitude era and one of stones most famous highlights walking by cuffed up talking shit to the camera smiling the good old days of the wwf attitude era fuck e
I think the Attitude Era began with the return of Bret Hart to Madison Square Garden in 1996. Since the Austin/Bret feud, the WWF just went on a whirlwind of kick butt programming that probably ended with Kane unmasking in 2003. Maybe.
OMG IM LAUGHING SO HARD. MCMAHON GETS STUNNED AND IMMEDIATELY GOES LIMP. GREAT SELLING ON VINCES PART. THEN AUSTING SHAKING HIS HEAD TOOK ME EVEN FARTHER THEN THE CAMERA CUTTING TO VINCE AND HE LOOKS LIKE A MOTIONLESS CORPSE..THAT JUST TOOK ME OVER THE TOP. MARIJUANA
@WWEMANIAC316 You are correct, but they have many similarites. They are both over heavily, they have a huge fanbase (mostly kids), and both aren't the best wrestlers ever.
@crumpton4 Austin seemed to be a pretty competent wrestler and I was surprised by some of the stuff he did in his earlier days. He had to limit himself a lot after his neck injury in 1997. I haven't watched WWE in forever, and I wonder how much Rey Mysterio has to limit himself these days.
His gimmick is worn out. However, for a guy his age and size, he does move around in the ring very well. Michaels can't do any of the moves that he used to. His talent has worn out.
Oh! You mean Matt Damon's twin. Wrestling died once Austin retired. It hasn't been the same ever since. Now you have pieces of garbage like the miz and randy orton. I hate to say this, but Shawn Michaels died out a long time ago as well. He was very talented, but his time has passed. The only man, who never lost his touch is the undertaker.
Once again, I couldn't agree with you more. If anyone changed the face of wrestling it was Steve Austin. He did his own thing. What's so Ironic is that being fired from WCW was the best thing that ever happened to him.
Lol VInce had no idea how to sell the stunner
