i give him nearly 4 of 5 stars. . . an all around good drummer. i'd jam with him! love the hard accents before a chorus. give up more double bass patterns man.
i been watching him grow for years from original creed to alter bridge. on the creed stuff he was very 'in the pocket' . i like him more with bridge. how's the new creed album?
music sux but aside from that why play drums submerged in water?is this cool somehow?gimmicky to me. no hatein here but musics overly melodramatic and its silly idea to play under water.
scott is decent, he is from madison florida, a little hole in the wall, he used to sell swords and knives in the mall, the singer scott used to schuck oysters at a local restaraunt, mark tremonti "guitar" was a cook at chili's here in tally....look up mike johnston, or dave weckyl or maybe tony royster jr, or a little mike portnoy if you want to see real chops.... scott is good for the 4/4 timing but his range as a percussionist is rather simplistic....
@rodney3076 well and because of that he doesn't play the major slots on drummer festivals and publishes books and dvds about drumming, because he's just a rock drummer and an extremely good one. His "range as a percussionist" just doesn't matter, cause that's what the weckls of this world are for. two different worlds to me
Flip is an extremely talented and underrated drummer. Probably my number 2, right under Dave Lombardo.
