There is absolutely a reason to read the books... they are WAY better story-lines than the HBO series. I love the show... it's fun and all, but the books are awesome. I read them all back to back.

Bill and Sookie's chemestry is electric. How can it not be when they are together for real. He loves her so much, They are not going to follow the books as far as Bill and Sookie go, so Bill fans rejoice, Only Bill and Sookie really matter for me. The rest is a laugh/entertainment. Bill and Sookie make me actually care.

Maybe when Bill fed off of her this time, it had side effects on him due to Sookie's powers now being active. Think about it, what the hell else would the King want with her? Why would he send so many of his henchman after Sookie and go through all this trouble to bag her if there wasn't anything useful about her?
The only bad thing about this show.... You wait all week to see next weeks episode, and after you see it, all you want to dois wait for the next episode to come out! It just gets more and more awesome to resist.
@beautifullrn and remember earlier in the season, someone said that losing a progeny is the most horrible thing a vamp can go through? that leads me to believe that he picks jessica first and then goes back to save sookie. i mean, it's not like sookie is unguarded what with eric (even though he doesn't show his hand, he DOES care for sookie, no matter what he wants us to believe) and alcide.
@myth1c I think it's going to have something to do with the fact that he practically sucked ALL the blood out of Sookie and so his body is filled with her blood, which is obviously magical somehow as well as part-human. I'm thinking it's going to last only until all of Sookie's blood has left his system.

Mississippi has a lot of fog and that seems to block out the sun: "I noticed this thick coat of fog, and I thought that if I were a vampire, I’d want to be someplace where I’m not very noticeable and could skirt daylight, because the fog obscures you and keeps the sun from penetrating."
@ses0702 that is true, but at the end of this clip, Bill is standing in direct sunlight. No fog. Unless Bill is some kind of light-absorbing Super Vampire, I don't know how to explain it other than that.

@myth1c I think it's going to have something to do with the fact that he practically sucked ALL the blood out of Sookie and so his body is filled with her blood, which is obviously magical somehow as well as part-human. I'm thinking it's going to last only until all of Sookie's blood has left his system.

The wolfs said they were going to dry bill to a raisin. He then replaces his lost blood with most of Sookies blood. It's like making a vampire but the other way around.

@Guyver5182 I don't think that's it, judging by this interview with Denis O'Hare (Russell Edgington) on Advocate dot com. Mississippi has a lot of fog and that seems to block out the sun: "I noticed this thick coat of fog, and I thought that if I were a vampire, I’d want to be someplace where I’m not very noticeable and could skirt daylight, because the fog obscures you and keeps the sun from penetrating."

@ses0702 that is true, but at the end of this clip, Bill is standing in direct sunlight. No fog. Unless Bill is some kind of light-absorbing Super Vampire, I don't know how to explain it other than that.

i think its good that they not follow the books, this way its more a show of its own, and we can stop comparing it to the books! maybe even let go of the eric and sookie thing a bit and enjoying the Bill and sookie, lets face it their chemestry is amazing!!

@msaaltje no its not at all. i think bill and sookie chemistry seems forced to me. and bill to me is just the annoying possesive boyfriend who wont go away. and he almost kills sookie now,if she takes him back its akin to a girl who takes back her rapist. i dont care how much you think you love someone or what history you have, when you have been betrayed like that, its time to take a break!! not a good example to set true blood...
