I've heard of Manas. But what is it about and why many Kyrgyzs are so proud of it? Here it sounds something like Hindu mantra sanscripts read by heart...
this is the history of Kyrgyzs and it tells the story of Manas who protects his people from the enemies and unites his people. It is not only the biggest Epic in the world larger that Mahabharata and Illiada & Oddysei but it is the whole encyclopedia of the history, the way of life, traditions, customs of kyrgyz people.
