  • Charley going after Billy is like a Chihauhau going after a Great Dane.....

  • I've actually downloaded and watched this movie because of your clip, so thanks! It was wonderful for what it was.

  • @macco360 I'm honored! Guess it was beyond a "B," but still a delight! There were so many amazing actors present! The "landlady" should have gotten a mention for her description of the room and her "Oh, I must remember to get that fixed!" comment! Methinks that Mr. Egan had a mortgage due, or otherwise would not have been a participant. Also, the lurid "Acapulco" scene is one of my favorites! Watching Richard Egan "making love" to the bottle is worth the price of admission! Glad you liked!

  • low budget, wouldn't you say?

  • @Seakyr This was somewhat lower than a “B” movie, but still fascinating! It was very ‘50s, and extremely “noir!” It also starred respected actor Richard Egan. Scenes like these just lend to its sleazy charm!

  • A glass of "shewwy"??? Did Percy take acting lessons from Elmer Fudd ???

  • @JubalCalif Percy always had that endearing little speech impediment; I think it cemented, and actually assisted him in his career as a very unique character actor. Thanks so much for your comment.

  • @varadero1839

Well said & well put! The late great Mr Helton was a UNIQUE talent from the Golden Age of Character Actors! Thanks for your comment too! CHEERS, mate! :-)

  • @JubalCalif I heard him say "Sherry, not "Sherry." Perhaps the misinterpretation was due to his grinning as he is leering at Beverly. Try saying Sherry with a wide grin on you face and see how it comes out. Probably the same.

  • Percy Helton was one of my all time favs; an absolute classic!

  • Like the stunning actresses Hazel Brooks and Dolores Moran, Beverly Michaels retired from acting when she married a movie-director.

To-day 'Wicked Woman' (1953) is at Youtube (in 9 parts') by-the-way!

  • @dogiehogan Hi! Thanks for both your comments! She was underrated indeed; but think she might have been hard to cast: she was pretty tall! Didn't take away from her acting though. Gonna look for another one for you; great fun and it involves serious punching!!

  • With a stunning and underrated Beverly Michaels: she was too, too hot for the 50s!

  • @dogiehogan Ms. M could play the femme fatale forever as far as I'm concerned! Wish there were other clips available! Thanks for your comment.

  • yep, that's the dude. he'll turn up on gunsmoke, maverick, whatever....now I know his name. great character.
