  • I love how he said, Reason 4, go buy it, and less than one minute later he says, $200 upgrade, and not worth it

    Ableton>Reason

  • lol it was funny and informative thanks

  • nice video very helpful and a bit humorous with the commentary

  • Lol this is hilarious !

  • It's much easier with RPG-8.

  • 9:05 is godly!

  • "It's got potential. It's got potential, Joe!"

    "It's got potential!"

  • Make a Dubstep Song

  • "Can you shut the fuck up?!" Haha you rock dude xD

  • haha great tutorial and fuckin hilarious

  • I been using reason for 4 months now, But Im still trying to figure out everything, i got all the basic steps down, and i been searching in the help bar where the fade is but it keeps bringing me back to not what i want to do. Can you help me find where the fading is? To fade in and out of the music or sound?

    hmmm........

    any helpers?

  • @11NightWonderer11 you mean a low pass filter? theres two ways of doing this. First way is to automate the filter inside the synthesiser and the second way is to create the ECF-42 envelope controlled filter and take the env. amt knob right down so the env doesn't affect the filter. Then Automate the Frequency and resonance and make sure when the lead is not being affected by the frequency, that the resonance knob is right down.

  • how did you get that kinda of synth sound i mean the trancy loopy shit wtf i don;t know how to say it xD

  • hot lead. sounds bangin lads... more more moreeee

  • New Handz Up DJ! DJ DYNSIGHT...

On Myspace - DJ Dynsight you can test hear that Trackz!

  • edit undo, edit undo, LMAO good tut :P

  • o that sucks big time

  • Yes im also looking for a good patchbase because i can't find any good hard dance / hardstyle reason refill/samplepack and synth sounds. Anyone please?

  • search for : blutonium boys hardstyle.

this pack has great leads and kicks!

and search for more great leads at : reasonstation

  • good demo mate, was just wondering if you have made a demo on making your own synths yet?im trying to make a hard trance/style tune and your synth sounds really responsive and high pitched compared to some of the shit ive downloaded!any ideas where i could download some club sounding synths?im new to all this so any help would be good or if anyone else would like to comment that would be great, thanks =)

  • bit shit...

  • Good Demo on how to get the ball rolling with making a trance melody..I found this piece rather generic though. I personally find it better to play in the notes manually with of course the quantize during recording feature on. It makes wonders. I used to pencil in all the notes but it was quite tedious. Not as rewarding either. You can't get intricate rhythms..or at least I can't with penciling in notes. Other than that great tutorial

  • 1:21 fuckin well funny he got told lol

  • this was the most helpfull reason video ive watched thanks XD

  • you funny fuckers.

  • Funny as fuck, nice tutorial !!

  • "...why are you here...?"

7:15 - 7:22 made me laugh. That realisation... (with an undertone of 'how did that happen?'

  • what i wanna know is how you made that synth sound

  • you guys are fucking crazy :P XD ''can you shut the fuck up'' hahaha classic :P

    //Avion

  • That has to be one of the best tuts on youtube, Funny entertaining and clear!

    You earned a subscriber!

  • Is it hard to learn Reason? I've tried it, but i didn't understand to much. Only the basics of creating a kick.

  • It's probably one of the easiest sequencers to learn after FL Studio.

It may look overwhelming if you're new, but it all works intuitively and it replicates a software imitation of a hardware studio. (virtual mixers and synths that you see at the beginning)

It's definitely one of the most rewarding programs to pick up and learn. There are loads of tutorials on youtube, but you'll have to find the ones that covers the basics first up.

  • Read the manual und try to understand it... It's not too hard and it's worth it, since Reason is really powerful!

  • you need to spend a lot of time on it, then its kick ass, but im not there yet myself :(

  • thts sick!!

  • SHUT YOUR FACE, loool u guys are hilarious. luuuv the sound u make

  • this is real interesting. Awsome beat you made. lol funny conversations going on to haha.

you wouldnt mind if i asked what device this is. I could really use this for a friend, her and her friends have some dance thing going on.

  • Great tutorial :D

  • omg insane!! :D but i dont get trough there ... what plugin/vst do you use for the lead ??

  • Will just be an instrument for Reason mate. Reason has all it's own stuff. You don't get to plug in anything really, but the instruments and sounds it comes loaded with are excellent and you can create pretty much any sound.

Looks like he's combined instruments and FX to make the lead. Great sound :D

  • also, try juno x2, it produces sounds like the lead here very easily

  • Awesome Sounds

  • lol "shut your face" i get my mate telling me what to do with my tracks all the time. i know that feeling. you just want what you hear in your head. fucken good result man, liked it. you got any hardstyle?

  • used to love reason it was the greatest music software for me and i saw loads cubase ableton fruity loops and much more. reason had the best sounds , vast colleciton of instruments and user interface freindliness is just awesome.

  • Fuck, thats awesome.

  • where did you get the drum sounds in this video?i can never find a good bass drum.

  • Do you use Ableton Live?

  • nooo i do not

  • @MrTwisT007 i like ableton live. :)

  • hey just wondering if you guys will only take dance/trance? i dj/produce uk hardcore.

  • nah mate we take any type of dance music, as long as it's good. And we definitely DO take hardcore mixes and productions. You thinking about putting out some stuff??

  • yeah i have a few

    where do i send ?

how does this whole thing work?

  • i find i get easily annyed that i keep drawing the notes in all the time so i just rewire it into frutiy loops. great tutorial though

  • great vid! what are the samples in oscillator one & two? cheers for upload!

  • I used PWM in one and Juno in osc 2

  • Ha...tha's hilarious...u sound like me trying to use reason...."little piece of sh*t".....haha

  • Top quality man, this is really what I needed to help me out. Well done mate.

  • hahha that is bo shank :) what kick drum u using ? !!

  • HAHAHAAAAAAA nice. love the attitude!

  • "CAN YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP?" hahaha nice :P

  • hahahahaahha

  • Brill-E-Ant :-) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I really liked this video, it was inspirative, but I was hoping more of a throughout video on how to create all the things step by step cause I'm new to Reason. There aren't many videos that instruct people to create something like this from scratch, what sounds etc you are using. That'd be useful if you could make a video like that.

  • Its easyer to just lear yourself! At least for me... Just mess around and save staff that sounds cool!

  • LAWLLLLLLL, you guys are the best, funny as hell ;)

  • u guys are funny...great tutorial by the way :)

  • wow, i learned more from your video on writing a trance lead than reading 20 dance music books lol!!! could you recommend some good refills for reason 4.0?

  • guys i jst watchined this AGEN and its jst fucking funny haha

you ought to upload more shit on here (Y)

  • You wanna head on over to out site and check out the podcasts, if you like this, u'll like them, although we got tol we had to tone down the language!

  • Lol how do you speed up the track like that? Yeah im hella new so blea... shame shame

  • shit,, very good tutorial :D
