Hi guys. It's not work directly with tv. U need need to install tv out program in ur dives. Then u can play every thing on tv. There is USB cable some model of wire for charging + play. Play movies. YouTube. Photos. Audio sings. What ever u do it's show on tv.......;-)

I have been searching and searching and NO ONE is answering these two questions!

#1. If I have an ipod touch 4, with 64 gigs and I get netflix AND a component (not composite) cable, will I get 480p resolution on my 720p LCD projector or perhaps even higher?

#2. If I connect the component cable up to my 1080p television, will I get at least 720p quality videos I store on my ipod 4 or will they be down converted?

@videomanfx the videos wont be converted into a lower quality, probably they will even be upscaled to a better quality than 480p - up to around 720p, 1080i.. this accounts for both your projector as your HDTV

@videomanfx you will get 960x640 resolution, we have same itouch and same conndition! and if you look on apples website you will get 720p. you can upconvert but 720p native

@Vilseinaturen It only works with applications that support TV out. It doesn't put up a replication of your iPhone's screen (as seen in the video). That being said, it can be used with third-party applications. I know Netflix uses it, and I think Hulu Plus does too.

@7thGradePpl Yes it would but make sure that you buy the correct version. Note that this one is called Component AV (with red blue and green), there is also CompositeAV ( yellow white red). Make sure you know which one your car supports before purchasing one! hope to have helped you out!

@er1kk1  the 3rd wire is the usb cable plug it into the ac adaptor and then to the wall just like you do to charge it. this way your playing your movie thru your tv while keeping the iphone charged

hello sorry did you buy the right cables as i had the same problem just found i out i bought the composite for the non led screen or non hd tv. this made the sound perfect and the picture black. then i wen to to apple and told them they said because i have an led tv then i need the component cables instead and it work perfetly, try them out :)

Hi, is it true, to make the tv ouput work, you need like less than 3.0 fw, that the av cable won't work on 3.0. I tried ti buy from ebay, but seller stated on works for less than 3.0 like 2.2.1

Also I have a touch 2g, can i play my games on the tv as well as watch movies, play songs.

well it sounds like you bought a Composite cable and not a Component cable. If you don't have an HD Television (which I think you don't because your are talking about white,yellow,red holes) then you cannot use the cable you have now... you need to buy the Composite version of the cable.. too bad :s

Component (RBG) separates the colour spectrum into the 3 main colours : Red Blue and Green. Composite send all the video into the one yellow cable. Point is get a better tv.
