  • this IS what I call a SHOW.....

What are the names of the dancers doing the sushi-girls?

  • @framolecola one of them is Richard Marx wife, Cynthia Rhodes who briefly sang with Animotion back in the 80s.

  • Had both Tubes and Zappa here in Sweden in the 70s - they were among the most entertaining groups I heard ... some energy!

  • Sumbuddy show this 2 the FlamingLips

  • Great version!

  • Where is this concert from?

  • @OrisLover

    from San Fransisco.

  • Explosive performance!

  • I feel sorry for any kid who never got to see one of these shows.

  • The Tubes are from Phoenix, Arizona. I went to school with them. I had the distinct pleasure seeing them and Frank Zappa at the Celebrity Theater in 197....something. Yup..it was one of THOSE concerts! ;-D

  • Fee Waybill, one of the best showmen of all time

  • Fab! Saw them at Hammersmith Odeon London doing this....one of the best gigs I've been to there. Also saw Zappa there on a few occasions....the world is a less interesting place without him.

  • Bring back the cheerleaders!

  • The Tubes and FZ/the Mothers for sure, the top 2 for fun AND musicianship and songwriting. The only other bands that had any kind of stage worthyness that I saw would be Jethro Tull, Adam and the Ants, and Iron Maiden, Maiden having quite a good set of props, sets, and a great sound system with top musicianship. Bruce Dickenson was all over the stage. But for FUN acts with all sorts of antics as well as music, the Tubes and FZ were tops ! A pity there are no young bands filling the void.

  • These guys put on the BEST show! Their live sound is sooo amazing and their musicianship is top notch! I have to see these guys again every chance I get!

  • Our band Big Pictures opened for these guys in 94 here in Cincinnati.

  • With the possible exception of Zappa/Mothers, was any band ever tighter, better rehearsed, or more goddam fun to watch?

    No.

  • The TUBES!

Greatest band that ever "lived" !!!!!!

Fee was the best frontman that ever lived!!!

Check out Prarie P. with the Mermen! All good stuff from the heart!!!

    Talk to ya later!
