  • haha people call this redneck like its a bad thing let see someone else find a way even more easy then this and then people can talk bad about this

  • good ole ether trick! the shop teachers werent too fond of it but works!

  • hmmm backfired on you a little bit didnt it

  • Does any one have a light?

  • the guy walked by at the end was like, wateva, i do that all the time

  • Not bad! I recommend you make a long fuse with the ether after you spray it in the tire before you light it. That's a LOT safer.

  • Ive always been leery of doing this since theres the small risk of having a fire start INSIDE the tire. Looks fine until you inflate it, and then out of nowhere, the fire takes off under pressure and the whole thing blows up.

  • @mysock351W never heard of such a thing. i have never heard of something like that happening either

  • @Jeff1991N Its happened when welding rims with the tire mounted (much more likely there since the rubber smoulders near the bead). Once fresh air comes in during inflation, the rubber ignites, and begins to burn. But with something like THAT tire, you cant just hop on top of it and seat the bead manually, so Id probably be out there with the ether too, FWIW :)

  • @mysock351W i learned about pyrolysis in training. which is probably what your talking about welding.

  • @Jeff1991N I have also never heard of such a thing. I would also not recommend using a small propane torch to light the ether instead of a lighter. Because I've never done either of these things.

  • @mysock351W lack of oxygen?

  • @laf8675309 In the case of a fire due to welding on the rim assembly, the oxygen needed comes in when the tire is inflated.

  • @mysock351W I doubt that would happen, considering that it will be a tight seal and after a few second the fire would consume the oxygen and suffocate out. Something along that line.

  • @mysock351W i wouldnt of thought that a fire in a confined space like that with no fresh air could start

  • @rthereneusers It smolders, and when the tire is inflated, the fire takes off inside with the renewed supply of oxygen on inflation. Obviously something thats only really a concern with welding on a full rim/tire assembly.

  • @mysock351W man the fuck up pussy

  • @reesedacool From your channel it looks like all you do is play video games, so I doubt youve done much to get those lilly white hands all dirty ;)

On the few times Ive changed a tire my preference is to find a friend with the right tools to do it and borrow, but hey, whatever gets it back on the road...

  • @mysock351W Actually this is just my channel for video game videos, i have changed more than a few tires and atleast i have videos on my channel.

  • i do this all the time. it works. might not be OSHA approved however... LMAO!!!

  • Didnt hear the explosion because it actually seated

  • didn hear the explosion ;(

  • @famos10 there wasnt one. just a "fomp" sound at 0:16

  • osha isnt gonna be happy about that one haha
