I like your hair. I think it's really cute! But I LOVE your eyes!! There big and wonderful!!! You look like you could be a model.
Thanks for the big heads up on the health issues.
What you didn't say was "we shouldn't depend on our Gov. to protect us"... you know they don't and won't. There's NO money in protecting us from these kinds of oils.
I just learned that TFs are commonly used in grocery store rotisserie chickens. How expensive can butter be? Cheap bastards...
Grrr..must I cook EVERYTHING myself?! lol
Our lifestyle isn't condusive to healthy eating. You really do need to cook/ prepare everything yourself, and many people don't have the time, or can't afford real food at all.
Thanks for posting this video, because not many people understand why hydrogenated oils are dangerous or what it even is and I think you did a fine job of doing both.
I also wanted to just let you know that fluoride is also a killer worse than hydrogenated oils and if you haven't looked into them, then I suggest you do, but you're a smart cookie and I wouldn't doubt that you might already know. If you do, you should do a video on that.
Great vid. I have been doing a lot of research on trans fats, msg, aspartame, processed foods, & hydrogenated oils, etc., because I have been battling my obesity for a while. I pretty much eliminated a lot of food items that contains the aforementioned as much as possible. I see my overall health has greatly improved & am shedding inches & fat. By the way, I love your natural hair. I've went natural over 2 years ago myself. God bless.
It has taken me six months to convince my family of the dangers this crap can do and every time i empty my food press of this hvo them clever sons of bitch's in the food industry slip it into another healthy product, it's a real hard job staying on top of it, so keep up the good work and keep spreading the word.
You are doing a great thing, I also have a video on this as well but yours is great because you were very specific and did a lot of research! Did you know that many foods in the stores that say 0 transfat could still have transfat in them because there is a law that the companies do not need to report transfat if its .5 or less. Isnt that twisted? There is no safe ammount of transfat
so true! hydrogenated oils are not ment for consmption! it is not food, although it is passed as food. take margarine for example, it is one molecule away from being plastic...plastic! that's so scary how food companies flavor things to pass as food. it's cheaper for the company at the expense of our health.
Although the problem with these foods is that it contributes to weight gain, another big problem is the fact that healthier foods actually cost more. Of course there are other alernatives to eating healthier; ie, the things in MY freezer so buying your own potatoes, cutting and frying (or baking) your own french fries, buying flour for your own buscuits, your own eggs, and your own preps for stir fry mixes can guarantee no hydrogenated oils being injested by you or your family members.
Nappygungun, thank you for posting this video! I just ran downstairs to my refrigerator and found that four items in my freezer; frozen pancakes, frozen breakfast foods (sausage egg and cheese biscuit), frozen french fries and a package of frozen stir fry mix... these items contain Hydrogenated soybean oil AND OR (which was on the package) Cottonseed oil. I even saw Hydrogenated Vegetable oil there. More in a second....
I looked into it - If the product contains .99 grams of fat (less than one gram) per serving, they are allowed to say -Zero Grams of TRANS FATS- yes PER SERVING. So if a loaf of bread has 20 grams of trans fats, and 21 slices of bread, WELL - they tell us it contains ZERO GRAMS of TRANS FATS - Never trust anyone who is determined to get even one cent from you.
We don't need to eat any packaged processed foods...in fact...we shouldn't. Health is a personal choice. Too busy? Drop one activity that is meaningless and devoted it to preparing fresh foods to eat with proper oils/fats. Essential Fatty Acids are necessary for brain/heart/ and other necessary functions. It is isn't raw or steamed...it is dead food and cannot assist the body in rebuidling itself
Well , it's really nice to hear a person talk about something they're really passionate about. I've become more aware of what is out there intrems of produce, but yes, this video is fraught with life saving information. I had to save it my favorites LOL.
i knew the dangers of hydrogenated since watching a show on oprah, i dont eat any thing with that or high fructose corn syrup is bad also and its in almost everything. thanks for the info
never knew what Hydrogenated Oils were but since I am trying to be all organic this is good to know. You really have to have that 100% certified organic seal on stuff otherwise its just a toss up.
Wow I didnt realize they put stuff like this in health foods. Hm. Im gonna look at them. But yeah, ur right. My freshman yr in college I was super busy and always eating those easy macs, I gained SO much weight. I dont eat none of those easy foods anymore. Its crazy.

I try to stop eating hydrogenated fat, but its in everything ! its no wonder kids have become obese,

Yeah I totally agree!
nappygungun 4 years ago
It's not in everything. Nothing I eat has trans fats. And kids are obese because they don't do anything with their lives, not because of trans.

While your subject matTer is good, I would just say this: Make the bed, and don't pick your nose on camera. Peace and love!!!!

Your right we need to start cooking our own food instead of buying everything pre-made.

I see food that says Zero Grams of trans fat - yet clearly stated on the label is Hydrogenated oil. Am I confused? My local bakery uses it - why?

I think it's a marketing tool to make you think that it's healthy, but really they are just out to make money not worry about our health
