R-30+ is required! Battic Door makes an R-50 Kit to insulate attic stairs that meets all Code requirements.

Nice and clean, but he should of painted the architrave first or at least used pre-primed...Awl screw it, let the home owner deal with it.

@bruno2260 We leave the trapdoor and architrave untreated as many customers like to paint or varnish these to suit their own home.
