Funny, this one looks more like Shana Missett''s (Jazzercise) choreography than Zumba. The irony is that as Zumba has evolved more and more into the Jazzercise type format and choreo and businessplan, jazzercise thinks it needs to be more like Zumba - I hope they don't just turn into an indistinguioshable hip-hop mish mosh. I liked the differences in the classes.

Zumba produces special songs every now and then like this one that don't follow its 'typical' format, but it DOES send instructors new latin/int'l music and moves every month for continued learning and choreo ideas. It's the instructor's choice of how to run the class. If you don't dig the format, find a new instructor.

@zumbally I totally agree. Each instructor has their own "flavor" and that is part of what makes Zumba so great! It's not a cookie cutter routine. Just as there are many different people in class there are many different types of instructors. I work at a gym with 2 other Zumba instructors-we all have a little different style but we love encouraging all our students. The bottom line is that we are having a great time together!

@TheRev1953 then look for a instructor that makes it still fun.... i typically learn some official choreos but i love to make my own so then it can be fun.. ;) so all depends on the instructor hehe as long we use the formula is our creativity that counts ;)

Zumba is a money making industry yes but please take time to assess how many lives are better because they are part of Zumba. Ask how many people how much weight they have lost. I too am an instructor because I love what Zumba has done for me personally. I enjoy the rhythm, the movements and changes it is making in my body, spirit and mind.

@Korina10100 I know people who have stopped taking their depression medication because Zumba has changed their outlook on life. A woman in Dallas, TX has a daughter who takes it at school and had a motor skill condition. Her daughter has now improved her motor skills and is getting self confidence which is something she has never had before! Zumba is a refreshing break from the all the neggative. It not only changes you on the outside but much more than that, it changes you on the inside.
