What an interesting early incarnation of an eventual masterpiece. This could be as early as 1984 (I have a West End Girls promo vinyl from that year and Neil looks similar to that EP cover.) Does anyone know when this was made?

I assume it's from 1985 when they signed to Parlophone. It sounds very similar to the first single version.

This video (on a Bbc daytime Kids Show) is indeed from (july) 1985 .. before they made it big. I think it's their very first Uk-tv performance ever. Plucked it from one of my old Vhs tapes and Youtubed it a few years ago but that account got deleted.

Will put up a HQ of it on my current account soon (with remastered sound).
