  • R.I.P. This song 2006-2010

  • i love this sound :o

  • Hey did you know ADS Media is putting the vintage TWN tracks on itunes? they said "tracks should go back to 2003." on there facebook

  • Anyone figure out the name of this song?

  • Yeah it played about 3.5 years... :p

  • WOW i like just looking at the old memories... well this song was on for a LONG time.

  • Always gonna be the classic weather network song, I started hardly paying attention to the actual forecasts( refered to weather office instead), I just listened...lol.

  • To me, this is Canada. Been there in autumn 2007. Great tune!

  • Wow, I can't believe someone has put videos of these on youtube, thanks a lot!

I was visiting Ontario the summer of 2007 for two months (I'm Finnish) and this music fascinated me and it brings back lovely memories very vividly. Yeah, it's strange, because it's just a weather tune, but I can't explain it :)

It was so hot and humid every day I was there, ~30 every day, usually more, is that normal in Southern Ontario?

  • For southern Ontario it's normal to have a lot of humid days every summer. Which is why I will never live in a tropical place; I can't stand the humidity. :)

  • This is to all you people down south, we actually do have hot weather and this vid proves it. 40 celcius = about 105 or something like that farenhieght

  • i would consider you down south (if you live in S. ont)

  • To all you people down in Texas, Arizona etc. This video shows you that we do have hot weather, 40 Celsius is like 105 Fahrenheit

  • compared to the american "The Weather Channel" The Weather Network for whatever reason is so much better. Who knows it could be the music.

  • This is different from the local forecast in the U.S.

  • Two years without a update in music :(

  • Actually it's been 3 years.

  • i wish they would change it back to the 2005 song!!!!

  • CHords are D, G, Bm, A for the first part, then G, A, D Bm for the other part.

  • no prob ! my bro just told me what we call that ''block'd F'' that i wasn't sure about .. he says its "F sharp"..

    so there you go : D , G , F sharp , A

  • tabas are simple .. its - D , G , ( then here its some eh.... some tab im not sure , im french so in french we say ''BARRÉ'' wich means blocked ... but ithink its an F+ ) , then A ...

  • Big thanks for this info.

  • @francoisamodeo D, G, Bm, A

  • wow i feel sorry, well we have a weather channel here called nbc weather plus and they never change there songs unlike The Weather Channel here in the U.S.

  • yah, one of the weather girls who used to be on the weather network in on NBC weather plus now; Jackie Meretsky! :)

  • so do they still have the same song on the local weather reports?

  • Yes.

  • @theSameRetroWindsor not anymore they changed it as of 2010

  • @ojtheprep not as of 2010 they changed it now.

  • i neeed TABS!!!

  • *Searches De Wolfe and Network Music libraries for guitar and violin* theres violin in this song? hmm

  • My goodness, its almost like the song isn't by De Wolfe / Network Music / KT / Westar and was custom made by a media production company! :O Sarcasm. :)

  • I know, this song is extremely hard to find :S

I've been looking for it since I first heard it sometime in 2005 or 2006 :'(

  • Actually buddy, I know for a fact that this is custom made production music ;) Hence the sarcasm..

  • Sarcasm *rolls eyes*

  • I can't believe this was YouTube!!! I LOVE THE GUITAR AND VOILIN IN THIS SONG!!!

  • sizzles

  • wow,

this really is an excellent video

I must compliment you on your ingenuity and creativity

I noticed the announcer has a particularly velvety voice, that was a really good choice.

    once again,

    bravo

  • He never made this video! :) It's the actual Weather Network Forecasts & the voice is Carrie Olver's, who is a host on TWN.

  • not clear enough

  • Get a new graphics card.

  • I would love to hear the music that's being played on MeteoMedia. Why don't they do a switch?

  • It's the exact same music on both Stations.

  • No it isn't. MeteoMedia has different music throughout.

  • I guess we both wernt clear on which music, MeteoMedia uses the same Local Forecast music, how ever the features and promos (Such as Highway Conditions and Ski Conditions) have totally different music. Come to think of it, it would be interesting to do a switch.
